Software Developer, Consultant
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining applications on the Salesforce platform. Your role also involves the optimization of solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability, while also implementing robust audit, monitoring, backup, and archival solutions to support compliance. Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, you will translate business needs into effective technical solutions, maintaining continuous dialogue with both business and IT teams to ensure robustness, accuracy and consistency.
By designing and implementing sophisticated solutions, this role directly contributes to the ability to harness data effectively, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and ultimately, competitive advantage in the market. You will be adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies which will help drive innovation, adapt to new opportunities, and continuously evolve in an ever-changing business/technological landscape.
Work you’ll do
- Ability to independently own and execute the tasks assigned while providing assistance to junior team members as required.
- Ensure high quality outputs incl. assuming responsibility for the work of junior team members
- Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs to meet business requirements.
- Design and implement new functionality such as custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and reports.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between platforms.
- Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce applications, addressing bugs, performance issues, and other technical problems.
- Assist with testing, debugging, and troubleshooting technical issues within the Salesforce platform.
- Ensure proper documentation of code, configurations, and technical specifications for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience with Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
- Knowledge of Salesforce platform features and configuration options such as workflows, validation rules, process builders, and triggers.
- Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce of software like Okta and with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools, including platforms like MuleSoft, Informatica, and other integration solutions.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and sharing models.
- Experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools. (MuleSoft, Informatica etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills within the Salesforce environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred
- Salesforce Platform Developer, Salesforce Admin, Salesforce App builder certification.
- Familiarity with Salesforce DX, Developer Console, and IDEs.
- Knowledge of Salesforce deployment practices and tools.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Sales Cloud.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira).
