Position Summary
Level: Senior Consultant or equivalent
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions
Work you’ll do:
Lead discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts on business architecture. Prepare technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities. Develop solutions in line with established technical designs, integration standards, and quality processes. Create and enforce technical design and development guides, templates, and standards. Facilitate daily scrum meetings, manage deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports for leadership review. Conduct detailed deliverable reviews and provide technical guidance to team members. Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams. Design templates or scripts to automate routine development or operational tasks.
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL databases (RDBMS).
- In charge of developing and implementing database backups and disaster recovery strategies.
- Optimize database performance by fine-tuning database settings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to contribute to continuous improvements.
- Develop, implement, and manage database security policies and procedures to guarantee a seamless and successful flow of activities.
- Work closely with team members to guarantee database operation and integrity.
- Introduce and deploy new database technology.
- Maintain database reports, visualizations, and dashboards to help existing workflows.
- Assess the suitability of data for storage and the best way to organize storage.
- Defines, documents, and implements standards and complicated models to monitor and improve the database's capacity and performance.
- Maintains knowledge of and assesses new and developing technologies and tools for field application.
- Reduce database downtime and control parameters to ensure quick query responses.
- Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are fulfilled, collaborating with internal and external support departments as needed when large events occur.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization within the Cloud (AWS) and On Prem, such as optimizing resource utilization, implementing auto-scaling policies, and leveraging cost-effective storage options.
- Provide on-call support as needed.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 6 - 10 years of hands-on experience
- Expertise in designing efficient and scalable data models tailored to Oracle database.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective database schemas.
- Proficiency in indexing strategies and query optimization.
- Knowledge of replication mechanisms to ensure data redundancy and high availability.
- Knowledge of Linux Server infrastructures.
- Expertise in Oracle database architecture, PL/SQL, SQL performance optimization, and Oracle database security best practices.
- Proficiency in OEM and other monitoring tools.
- Implementation of robust security measures, including encryption, access controls, and auditing.
- Understanding of compliance requirements and best practices for data protection.
- Strategies for backup and recovery to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures.
- Experience with setting up and managing disaster recovery plans.
- Proficiency in automating database tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Advanced monitoring techniques to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database problems and implement solutions.

- Relevant Database & AWS Cloud Certifications
- Experience with advanced database architecture and implementing solutions.
- Experience in managing database projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Education:
BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
