Position Summary
Level: Senior Consultant
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines, and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.
Work you’ll do:
- Lead discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts on business architecture.
- Prepare technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities.
- Develop solutions in line with established technical designs, integration standards, and quality processes.
- Create and enforce technical design and development guides, templates, and standards.
- Facilitate daily scrum meetings, manage deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports for leadership review.
- Conduct detailed deliverable reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams.
- Design templates or scripts to automate routine development or operational tasks.
- Lead and mentor junior middleware engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of middleware solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates.
- Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of middleware technologies including IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), JBoss, and Apache.
- Monitor middleware performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Deploy and manage enterprise applications on middleware platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for middleware-related issues.
- Implement and enforce security policies and best practices for middleware environments.
- Monitor and analyze middleware performance metrics.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Expert in managing IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), JBoss, and Apache.
- Strong understanding of middleware architecture and concepts.
- Extensive experience with application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior team members.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in middleware administration and management.
- Proven experience with IBM WAS, JBoss, and Apache.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator, Red Hat Certified Specialist) are highly desirable.
Education:
- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
