Position Summary
Level: Senior Consultant or equivalent
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions
Work you’ll do:
• Lead operations for Kubernetes clusters, including performance, scalability, resiliency, and reliability improvements.
• Drive deep-dive RCA, implement preventative controls, and standardize runbooks for recurring issues.
• Own advanced troubleshooting across cluster components (node failures, pod scheduling, container crashes) and coordinate resolution with application, network, and security stakeholders.
• Establish and continuously improve health/incident dashboards and operational reporting for Kubernetes platforms.
• Lead automation initiatives to reduce toil and improve operational consistency across environments.
• Lead Linux node lifecycle and reliability for Kubernetes platforms (standardize patching/upgrades, drive OS-level RCA, and publish runbooks/controls to reduce repeat incidents).
• Guide teams on containerization strategy and migration planning/execution to Kubernetes, including hybrid/multi-cloud interoperability considerations.
• Provide hands-on leadership for Kubernetes on AWS, especially EKS, including integrations (networking, storage, IAM, monitoring) and scaling/cost considerations.
• Drive IaC patterns with Terraform for repeatable, governed platform delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers/admins; collaborate across global teams and manage delivery expectations.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
• 6–10 years hands-on experience in Kubernetes administration and platform operations (including troubleshooting, RCA, and reliability practices).
• Strong experience operating Kubernetes on AWS, especially Amazon EKS, including core integrations (networking, storage, IAM, monitoring).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Linux servers (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• Experience with Terraform (IaC) and operational automation.
• Strong knowledge of container and cloud-native technologies; ability to lead cross-team delivery and mentor others.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
• Exposure to Azure/AKS and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Observability tooling depth: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• Strong business-facing communication and stakeholder management.
Education:
• BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent.
