Position Summary
Level: Senior Consultant
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines, and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.
Work you’ll do:
Lead discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts on business architecture. Prepare technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities. Develop solutions in line with established technical designs, integration standards, and quality processes. Create and enforce technical design and development guides, templates, and standards. Facilitate daily scrum meetings, manage deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports for leadership review. Conduct detailed deliverable reviews and provide technical guidance to team members. Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams. Design templates or scripts to automate routine development or operational tasks.
Cloud Strategy & Solution Design:
- Develop and implement multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud strategies aligned with enterprise goals.
- Design reference architectures and reusable patterns for infrastructure.
- Define and document architecture diagrams, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct technical evaluations of current-state infrastructure and provide roadmap recommendations for cloud adoption and transformation.
Implementation & Migration:
- Lead cloud implementation, migration, and modernization initiatives in cloud environments.
- Define and oversee deployment architectures using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager.
- Ensure seamless integration between cloud platforms and third-party solutions.
- Leverage GCP-native services for serverless computing (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run) and container orchestration (GKE/Kubernetes).
- Design and implement network architecture (VPC, subnets, interconnect, VPN, firewall rules) to support scalable workloads on GCP.
Security & Governance:
- Define and enforce cloud security standards (IAM, encryption, key management, etc.).
- Configure and monitor identity/access control, logging, threat detection, and alerting mechanisms.
- Define automated guardrails for infrastructure deployment and security posture management via Policy Templates.
Optimization & Automation:
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Cloud Build.
- Drive cost optimization by implementing automation, right-sizing, and scheduled resource usage.
- Define SLOs/SLAs and use monitoring tools such as GCP Logging to ensure operational efficiency.
- Develop custom automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Cloud Functions to enhance operational workflows.
- Configure proactive autoscaling, load balancing, and failover strategies for high availability and disaster recovery.
Collaboration & Enablement:
- Partner with development, operations, and security teams to ensure solutions meet cross-functional requirements.
- Guide engineering teams in adopting cloud-native development and DevOps practices.
- Present architecture recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Conduct cloud onboarding and hands-on GCP training/workshops for internal teams.
- Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to align cloud initiatives with strategic objectives.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4–5 years in cloud architecture roles
- Expert-level knowledge in GCP and familiarity with others
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms (GKE)
- Proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or Deployment Manager
- Experience with CI/CD tools: GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Cloud Build
- Understanding of networking concepts: VPC design, peering, routing, DNS, and load balancing
- Familiarity with cloud cost management and performance optimization tools
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud security principles, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is a plus
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Cloud certifications (one or more highly preferred):
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Google Professional Cloud Architect
Education
- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
