Position Summary
Level: Manager
As a Manager at Deloitte Consulting, you will oversee the technical delivery of enterprise-scale software solutions, lead cross-functional and global teams and mentor junior members. You will collaborate to understand functional requirements, support sales and proposal efforts, and drive end-to-end project delivery, including estimation and planning, to ensure successful outcomes.
Work you’ll do:
Collaborate with the functional team and client to thoroughly understand business requirements. Oversee technical delivery by providing architectural and implementation recommendations. Lead documentation efforts, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices. Direct the design and development of solutions, ensuring timely delivery according to project plans. Work closely with project leadership to identify and escalate potential risks and prepare status reports. Mentor junior team members and facilitate communication between various teams within the engagement. Respond to proposals by providing accurate estimations and technical input, supporting the overall success and alignment of project objectives with client needs.
- Act as the primary expert in infrastructure automation within the organization, providing technical direction and vision for automation initiatives.
- Serve as the go-to authority for Ansible and related automation tools.
- Lead the design and development of advanced automation solutions, including Ansible playbooks and roles, to support infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and configuration management across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Architect scalable, maintainable, and secure automation frameworks for data centre operations.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level automation engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development.
- Conduct training sessions and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Define, implement, and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for automation to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of custom Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platforms built on Ansible, integrating with other tools and systems as needed.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving for automation-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with networking, security, application development, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of automated solutions.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in Ansible, automation best practices, and industry trends.
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in automation workflows.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, playbooks, roles, and architectural decisions.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Experience – 10 – 15 years of on prem Data centre management /cloud with good hands on experience of Developing Ansible playbooks, deployment, Terraform, Python and other scripting languages. Integration of Ansible with ServiceNow
- Extensive experience in infrastructure automation, with deep expertise in Ansible.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale automation solutions in data centre or cloud environments.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
- Experience with custom IaC platforms and integration with other automation and monitoring tools is a plus.
- Observability as code
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Data centre Operations Experience
- Experience in Managing / leading teams supporting platform, network, Database technologies
- Program management / large scale managed services delivery experience
Education:
BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
