Position Summary

Level: Analyst or equivalent

As an experienced Analyst at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines.

Work you’ll do:

  • Leverage proficiency in adjacent technologies beyond core skills to enhance project outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and communicate issues or risks to team leads, and complete assigned technology learning on schedule.
  • Quickly adapt to project-specific tools and gain understanding of client business processes or industry fundamentals.
  • Support process improvements, automation, and innovation while maintaining up-to-date project documentation.
  • Contribute to tracking delivery metrics and lead knowledge-sharing sessions on processes and technology trends.
  • Participate in team building, defect management, and compliance activities.
  • Demonstrate ownership of deliverables and actively engage in ideation and development of tools, accelerators, and innovative solutions.
  • Manage Host Storage/VMs/Clusters/Upgrade Virtual Center.
  • Build and install computer infrastructure, which encompasses hardware, servers, and virtual machines, using VMware environments such as vSphere.
  • Monitor all system alerts and assist to resolve complex issues in system hardware and software.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all system-related processes and procedures, including project requirements, changes/upgrades, implementation plans, and support tickets.
  • Administer efficient work of VMs and provide support to everyday operations.
  • Monitor client systems daily and pinpoint problem areas.
  • Proactively install upgrades, releases, and application patches.
  • VM Troubleshooting and Support for VDIs as View Administrators.
  • User Support for VDI Issues.
  • Identify, analyze, and automate routine tasks.
  • Develop understanding of SLA, SLO, SOW etc.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to serve requests or resolve incidents.
  • Implementation of High Availability, update management, Disaster recovery, Backup and Restore.
  • Documentation, Weekly/Bi-Weekly Deck preparation, KB article updates.
  • Train and provide knowledge transfer to junior resources.
  • Handover and On-call support during weekends on a rotational basis.

Additionally, we provide comprehensive management of all facets of operations for hybrid cloud infrastructure and field operations.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in system administration support (Windows production environments) with strong troubleshooting, patching, and general tasks.
  • Build and install computer infrastructure (hardware, servers, VMs) using VMware environments such as vSphere.
  • Monitor all system alerts and assist to resolve complex issues in system hardware and software.
  • Manage Host Storage/VMs/Clusters/Upgrade Virtual Center.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all system-related processes and procedures.
  • Administer efficient work of VMs and provide support to everyday operations.
  • Daily client system monitoring and problem identification.
  • Proactively install upgrades/releases/application patches.
  • VM troubleshooting and VDI support as View Administrators.
  • User Support for VDI Issues.
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the infrastructure, including building Linux machines in VM physical server or cloud servers.
  • Hands-on experience with RHEL 5/6/7, user/folder permission, domain addition.
  • Network storage configuration.
  • Proactive maintenance and development of Linux infrastructure technology.
  • Experience installing and configuring monitoring tools.
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to apply innovation and technical solutions across varied business domains.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools.

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • Windows Server NT Server 2000/2003/2008/2012: Build and Administration.
  • VMware ESX/VSphere: Build and Administration.
  • Install/Configure/Manage VMware ESXi Infrastructure and VCenter Server.
  • Manage updates for hosts and VMware Tools for VMs via Update Manager Plugin. Configure and manage HA, DRS, resource pools, clusters.
  • Manage Backups/Restore and understand VMware Snapshots.
  • Configure and manage monitoring alerts in VMware environments.
  • Perform capacity and performance reports (Clusters, Hosts, Storage, VMs etc).
  • Daily health/performance checks of VMware infrastructure.
  • Understanding of application and other infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of end-to-end infrastructure landscape.
  • Experience on virtualization platforms.

Education

  • BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
