Position Summary
Level: Consultant
As a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will support multidisciplinary teams delivering work across Edge AI, AI infrastructure and data centers, and Hybrid Cloud/data center (DC) networking. You will collaborate with client and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze options, and translate business goals into structured deliverables and recommendations. You will also contribute to proposal and sales efforts (e.g., research, drafting slides, building estimates) and help drive day-to-day execution across the project lifecycle—including work planning, tracking actions/risks, and preparing leadership-ready status updates—to support successful outcomes.
Work you’ll do:
· Support the development of data center and distributed infrastructure strategies (including hybrid models), contributing to decommission/exit planning, migration pathways, and site archetypes (regional data center, micro data center, edge) with a focus on performance, resilience, and cost.
· Contribute to AI strategy across cloud and edge by helping define the use-case portfolio, deployment patterns (edge vs. cloud), and MLOps and data governance approaches to enable measurable value and scalable adoption.
· Assist in designing edge fleet operations approaches (device lifecycle, remote management, observability/monitoring, incident and problem management, reliability practices).
· Develop and document reference architectures, patterns, and standards (architecture-level guidance vs. build), promoting reuse, interoperability, and consistency across sites and teams.
· Coordinate with technology providers and ecosystem partners (including hyperscalers and startups) to support partnership initiatives and joint solutioning activities.
· Help define operating and governance models to enable scalable, secure, and high-performing edge and hybrid infrastructure environments.
· Build and maintain total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI) analyses for edge initiatives, supporting sensitivity analyses and value-realization tracking.
· Support go-to-market (GTM) activities for Edge and Hybrid offerings, including value proposition development, competitive inputs, and roadmap planning.
· Deliver workstream responsibilities on client engagements focused on edge computing, hybrid infrastructure, networking, industrial internet of things (IIoT), and next-generation AI, supporting stakeholder management and working sessions.
· Contribute to cloud and hybrid strategy deliverables (suitability/placement across edge and cloud), migration and modernization roadmaps, and platform patterns (offline-first, event-driven, hybrid control planes) to improve resiliency and scalability.
· Perform market and landscape assessments and support strategic planning and business case development for edge and modern AI deployments.
· Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams by owning assigned deliverables, supporting day-to-day execution, and helping maintain delivery quality.
· Synthesize technology trends in IIoT and AI into clear, actionable implications and recommendations for client teams.
· Contribute to asset, offering, and accelerator development (e.g., templates, reference architectures, playbooks) to strengthen Edge/Hybrid/AI capabilities.
· Support client and industry event preparation (e.g., drafts, research, talk tracks), contributing to eminence materials as needed.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 3-6 years of relevant strategy consulting or industry experience, ideally at leading consulting or technology firms.
- Edge Infrastructure, Edge AI, AI Data Center, Hybrid Cloud etc., and AI stack concepts.
- Experience supporting E2E strategy and delivery workstreams in fast-paced, client-facing environments, including coordinating tasks across team members.
- Experience collaborating with senior client stakeholders (e.g., Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Data Officer (CDO), Chief Operating Officer (COO)), including contributing to leadership-ready materials and presentations.
- Exposure to go-to-market (GTM) strategy development and supporting joint solutioning or co-innovation efforts with technology partners.
- Understanding of ecosystem business models, technology vendor landscapes, and industry trends in edge and industrial domains, with ability to translate into project implications.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, including synthesizing inputs, documenting decisions, and supporting stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and synthesize complex technical and business concepts into clear outputs.
- Willingness to travel as needed and ability to work effectively in a hybrid/remote environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, Cisco, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Project Management Professional (PMP), analytics/AI credentials) are a plus.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address client-specific challenges.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing client requirements and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing client projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- · MBA or MS from a premier (Tier-1) school in India or abroad
- · 2 to 3 years of relevant experience (post MS / MBA) in Technology Strategy
- · Bachelor’s degree in engineering
