Position Summary

Level: Consultant

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you’ll do:

As a Migration Specialist, you will apply your technical expertise and industry knowledge to plan, design, and execute cloud migration projects across public, private, and hybrid environments. Responsible for requirements gathering and migration analysis, you will map current infrastructures and applications to fit target cloud platforms. You will oversee the full migration lifecycle including discovery, planning, testing, cutover, and post-migration activities ensuring seamless transitions of data and applications using a mix of native and third-party tools. Working closely with clients, you will craft migration strategies that minimize downtime and maximize business value. By participating in Agile practices, mentoring junior team members, and sharing best practices, you will support both effective delivery and team development. You will also help solve migration challenges, drive process improvements, and contribute to automation efforts. Throughout every engagement, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, resiliency, and consistent high performance.

Our offerings include engineered transformation services for hybrid cloud infrastructure and platforms, prioritizing resiliency, optimization, and extensive automation. We integrate advanced connectivity with AI infrastructure and enterprise networks to boost operational efficiency and enable real-time data processing. Additionally, we provide comprehensive management of all facets of operations for hybrid cloud infrastructure and field operations.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

3-6 years of relevant professional experience in cloud migration, understanding of Application’s Infrastructure landscape, cloud build out, infra-automation and Windows/Linux /L2/L3 support.
Previous experience in application migration using MGN, Azure Migrate, VMware HCX
Experience in designing target state infrastructure architecture for applications.
Previous experience in cloud native migration tooling such as AWS DMS, AWS SMS, Azure Database Migration Service, Google Cloud Data Migration Service.
Good understanding of NAS and Storage Systems.
Hands-on experience in Windows and Linux Administration
Mid-Level understanding of Middleware and hosting platforms such as IIS, Tomcat etc.
Good understanding of Security best practices, SSL configuration, SSO etc.
Mid-level hands-on experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Network issues on Cloud/On-prem.
Hands-on experience in configuring DNS, Load Balancers, Firewall and Route Tables.
Good understanding oof IAM roles and policies
Associate Level cloud certification on AWS / Azure / GCP / VMware Cloud
Hands on experience on PowerShell or bash scripting
Previous experience in automated setup of cloud environments using CloudFormation or Terraform.
Experience with DevOps tooling like Ansible, Chef will be an advantage.
Strong communication skills
Proven track record on learning new technologies and tools based on project and client requirements.
Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology or related field

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

Professional level cloud certification
Hands on experience on Docker/Kubernetes/AWS-ECS or equivalent
Hands on experience with python or other scripting language is preferred
Experience with DevOps tooling like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Azure Pipeline
Hands on experience with python or other scripting language is preferred.

Education: BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university

Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune/Chennai/Kolkata

Shift Timings:

11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST as per business requirements
