Position Summary
Level: Consultant
As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
As a salesforce tester, you will be responsible for planning and executing testing for Salesforce implementations and enhancements, ensuring high-quality releases across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
Work you’ll do:
- Analyze business requirements/user stories and define Test scope for Salesforce releases.
- Design and maintain test cases, test data, and traceability to requirements/acceptance criteria.
- Execute functional testing for Salesforce configuration and customization (e.g., Flows, validation rules, objects, record types, page layouts, reports/dashboards, security).
- Perform regression testing and support pre-prod/UAT readiness and smoke testing.
- Test integrations and data flows (APIs, middleware, downstream systems) and validate data quality and reconciliation.
- Log, triage, and manage defects through resolution; provide clear reproduction steps and impact assessment.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing): coordination, user guidance, issue triage, and results reporting.
- Contribute to test automation (where applicable): identify candidates, create/maintain scripts, and run automated suites.
- Produce quality status reporting (test execution progress, defect trends, risks/blockers) and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications
- 4–6 years of experience as a QA/Tester in Salesforce.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce fundamentals: standard/custom objects, relationships, security models (profiles/permission sets/sharing), Flow, and common business processes.
- Hands-on experience in automation testing using selenium with good knowledge on JAVA/ C#/ Python.
- Ability to handle exceptions, file I/O, API interactions, and database using Selenium
- Understanding how to manage test data effectively, including creating, maintaining, and using test data sets.
- Experience in BDD/TestNG Hybrid/ Data/ Keyword framework in a cross-browser environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and working with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with test/defect tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr/TestRail or similar).
- Experience in analyzing Data Mappings, Functional requirements and converting them into test scenarios / cases.
- Experience in different test phases with standardized QA Processes
- Experience with QA specific tools for test management, test execution progress, defect tracking and triaging.
- Experience in different SDLC/STLC lifecycles and methodologies.
- Understanding of Test Strategy & Test Planning
- Experience in defect logging, tracking, and closing defects
- Experience in test status reporting and managing a small team of 2-3 members (for tenured consultants)
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate requirements into test coverage.
- Experience with Salesforce testing automation tools (e.g., Provar, AccelQ, Copado Robotic Testing) or UI automation for portals (Experience Cloud).
Good to Have:
- Experience with testing Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP), tools like Postman, and basic SQL/SOQL understanding.
- Exposure to CI/CD and release tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps pipelines)
- Salesforce certifications are a plus.
Education:
· B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc. (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
