Assistant Manager — FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), TBM/ITFM (Technology Business Management / IT Financial Management)

Role overview
Join Deloitte Technology’s Technology Business Management (TBM) team to strengthen IT Financial Management (ITFM) through better cost transparency, budgeting/forecasting, allocations (showback/chargeback), and executive reporting across IT spend (run, grow, transform). You’ll partner with IT, Finance, Procurement, and business leaders to translate financial and operational data into actionable insights and decisions.
What you’ll do (key responsibilities)
- Own/support IT budget, forecast, and variance analysis with clear driver-based insights.
- Build and maintain IT cost models (labor, vendors, cloud, software, infrastructure) and reconcile to general ledger (GL) sources.
- Support allocations and cost attribution (services/products/apps/cost centers); enable showback/chargeback where applicable.
- Develop business cases (ROI, payback, total cost of ownership [TCO]) and support benefits tracking/value realization.
- Create KPI dashboards and leadership reporting (run vs. change, unit costs, demand/consumption, project burn).
- Support portfolio financial governance (intake, funding, stage gates) and performance vs. plan.
- Contribute to rationalization analyses (applications/infrastructure) to identify savings and reinvestment options.
- Drive process improvements (cadence, templates, controls, data quality) and document standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance/Accounting/Economics/MIS or related) or equivalent experience; MBA (Finance) a plus.
- 6–8 years in FP&A, IT finance, corporate finance, or consulting.
- Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive-ready storytelling.
- Working knowledge of IT cost structures (CapEx/OpEx, run vs. change, fixed vs. variable).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication.
Preferred qualifications
- TBM/ITFM concepts (towers/services, unit costs) and/or familiarity with TBM tools (e.g., Apptio or similar).
- Experience with ERP/GL and planning tools; exposure to FinOps (cloud cost allocation/tagging).
- Certifications (nice to have): CPA, CFA, TBM, FinOps (or equivalent).
