Application Architect - CL4.5/CL5

Position Summary

We are seeking an Application Architect (AI-First & Agentic Systems) who can design and lead the development of next-generation intelligent applications. This role focuses on building AI-native, agent-driven systems where large language models, autonomous agents, and AI-assisted software development life cycle pipelines are core to the architecture.

You will drive the transition from traditional development to AI-orchestrated engineering, enabling faster delivery, improved quality, and intelligent automation across the software lifecycle.

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM.

Work you'll do

As an Application Architect - CL4.5/CL5 on the Solutions Delivery - Canada team, you will be responsible for:

— Design AI-native, multi-agent architectures with scalable orchestration and enterprise integration.
— Build end-to-end AI-powered pipelines that automate the full software development lifecycle.
— Deliver production-grade full-stack solutions (React, Python) enforcing best practices, TDD, and modular design.
— Architect Azure-native, cloud solutions with CI/CD, microservices, and reusable platform templates.
— Enforce responsible AI with guardrails, compliance standards, and performance monitoring frameworks.
— Use & Drive GitHub Copilot adoption and establish governance standards/instructions for AI-assisted engineering.
— Lead teams, communicate architecture, roadmaps & PoCs to stakeholders & drive innovation through emerging technologies.

Solutions Delivery-Canada is an integral part of the Information Technology Services group. The principal focus of this organization is the development and maintenance of technology solutions that enable the delivery of Function and Marketplace Services and Management Information Systems.

Solutions Delivery Canada develops and maintains solutions built on varied technologies like Siebel, PeopleSoft, Microsoft technologies, and Lotus Notes. Solutions Delivery Canada has various groups that provide solutions to clients by following a streamlined system development methodology. Solutions Delivery Canada comprises groups such as Usability, Application Architecture, Development, Quality Assurance, and Performance.

Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited (U.S. India Enabling Areas) at the U.S. India offices are the support arm of the organization and comprise several groups including Talent, Technology, Finance, Communications, and Field Operations. The team provides a wide array of services to the U.S. firms and U.S. India professionals and is continually evaluating and expanding its portfolio.

Qualifications

Required:

Full-stack expertise in React.js & Python, hands-on AI/LLM integration & agent frameworks, Microsoft Azure, GitHub Copilot, microservices & distributed systems design, knowledge of RAG/orchestration/LLMOps patterns, and strong communication with a strategic, innovation-driven mindset.
Total 10-14 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or application architecture.
5+ years of experience with React
3+ years of experience with Python
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure
1+ years of experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
2+ years of experience with AI applications, LLM integration, or agent framework
5+ years of experience designing microservices, APIs or distributed
Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Computer Applications plus Master of Computer Applications, or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science plus Master of Science in Computer Science
Ability to travel 0%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
