Assistant Manager - Deloitte Technology - (DT-US) PMO Operations


As a CL4 operation team member in the Deloitte Technology-US (DT-US) Office of the CIO (OCIO) PMO team you will play a key role in support of the PMO and the use of project management tools, practices and methodologies across DT-US to enable world-class delivery of our firm’s internal technology programs.

The DT-US PMO team is part of the Office of the CIO (OCIO) and reports to the US OCIO Leader. The OCIO leads the development and implementation for technology strategy at Deloitte and drives the strategic initiatives to build market leading technology capabilities. DT-US powers IT for Deloitte’s 175K+ professionals while supporting business priorities and transformational initiatives in areas such as AI, Cloud, and Cyber.

Work you’ll do

A DT-US PMO Operations Assistant Manager should be experienced in PMO processes, technologies, and tools essential to the firm's operations. The role encompasses maintaining PMO processes, templates, and tools; supporting PMO operations for program and project delivery; and supporting consistency in technology processes across the DT-US organization. The Operations Assistant Manager will function as an individual contributor under the direction of a PMO Operations or Program Manager.

 

Responsibilities include:

·       Completes day-to-day internal operations work such as maintaining PMO-owned toolkits, templates and processes; supporting ServiceNow PMO-owned processes; and conducting project compliance checks.

·       Collaborates with DT-US ServiceNow platform team on development & enhancements of ServiceNow modules that impact PMO.

·       Supports Operations Manager in monitoring and analyzing PMO operations data such as resource utilization and planning & budgeting.

·       Manages execution of small project(s) within a program under the guidance of a PMO Program Manager.

·       Develops and maintains accurate project plans and schedules, understand aspects of project management such as estimation, forecasting, planning, analysis, issue, risk, change management, escalation management, meeting facilitation, variance analysis, and status reporting.

·       Works effectively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing relationship management, advisory skills, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.

·       Helps ensure PMO processes meet organizational goals and requirements.

·       Implements continuous improvements based on feedback.

·       Serves as a subject matter specialist for PMO process-related inquiries.

  

Required Qualifications:

·       6+ years of relevant experience in project management working on IT initiatives utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches (PMBOK, Prince2, etc).

·       Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration, or in a related field.

·       1+ year of working experience in ServiceNow

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills –with the ability to clearly articulate, facilitate and present to a wide range of stakeholders

·       Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to think out of the box, being creative and innovative to seek different solutions to bring value to the business

·       Attention to detail along with ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.

·       Advanced knowledge of MS office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills

·       Knowledge of quality management principles

·       Prior experience in resource management and executive reporting

·       Prior experience in financial reporting and tracking

·       Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and new challenges

·       Knowledge of SSDLC processes
