Associate Vice President/Executive Manager - Enterprise Architect

You will be an experienced Enterprise Architect and responsible for aligning the organization's technology strategy with its business goals. This role involves designing and overseeing the implementation of IT systems and infrastructure that support the enterprise's objectives. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners, to ensure that technology initiatives are scalable, secure, and sustainable.
You will be responsible for ensuring all architectures in your purview are architecturally sound, fit for business purpose and enterprise landscape within the context of available people, process, and technology.

In this role you will:
- Be the senior representative of the Enterprise Architect practice to aligning an organisation's technology and business strategies to achieve its goals
- Cultivate strong working partnerships with key stakeholders, customers and the wider Enterprise Architect team.
- Lead in designing and managing a framework for how an organisation utilises technology, and data to support its overall objectives.
- As Enterprise Architect Lead in strategizing the implementation of technology aligning to the firm’s goals and blends business knowledge and IT expertise to create strategic plans that increase productivity, improve efficiency, and achieve continuous growth.
- Collaborate with the Architecture community (Enterprise, Cloud and Security) and other stakeholders (e.g. Data Privacy, Product Owners, relevant Governance bodies, etc) to ensure solutions align with business and technology strategy; or seeking and agreeing (minimal) dispensations to highlight technical debt and/or business/operational risks.
- Ensures that IT projects are in line with the company's overall objectives. This involves designing IT systems that improve business processes.
- Interface with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) and application owners across Business Leads, Operations, Development teams, Business Change in the designs and migration of IT applications.
- Identify any risks or issues and ensure they are managed appropriately
Required Skills & Qualification:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Architect with a minimum 13 years of experience with 6 years of experience leading the design and implementation of complex enterprise architectures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in aligning technology strategy with business goals, driving innovation, and delivering measurable business value. Deep technical expertise in cloud is essential, along with exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Essential:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives
- Create and manage a technology roadmap that outlines the future state of IT systems and infrastructure
- Design and oversee the implementation of technology solutions that meet business needs while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to understand requirements and provide architectural guidance.
- Establish and enforce architecture standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency across the organization.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT systems and infrastructure.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the enterprise architecture, including diagrams, models, and technical specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and Solution Architects and other Business leadership.
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman etc.
- Proficiency in enterprise architecture tools and frameworks, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to lead and influence others, manage complex projects, and drive change within an organization.
