Position Summary

SAP ABAP / BW Consultant – Assistant Manager
SAP ABAP / BW Consultant specializing in implementation, and on-going operations and maintenance of SAP applications and technology for IT Support, The Netherlands.
Work you’ll do
• Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
• Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
• Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and debug programs.
• Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
• Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
• Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
• Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability and archiving) meet all SLA's.
• Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team.
• Would be expected to work as part of team in charge of maintenance & support (Incident & Problem Management) and new functionality (development) of the internal SAP system for Deloitte Netherlands
• Should be capable of writing Technical Design and Testing documents
• Should be capable of working together with Functional Lead Consultant
• Would be expected to optimize the application/ SAP modules, provide pro-active measurements and be critical towards issues and problems.
• Would be expected to initiate changes linked to current/ new roll out of SAP Support Packages &Enhancement Packs together with Lead Consultant
• Would be expected to customize and test based on Functional Design and Technical Design documents for Changes and/ or Problems.
• You maintain all BW related calls on the call logging system.
The team
The SAP team focuses on design, implementation, and on-going operations and maintenance of SAP applications and technology. Professionals will have hands-on access and exposure to the latest technologies and thought leaders.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
Must Have:
ABAP
• ABAP Object-Oriented
• Web Dynpro ABAP
• Workflow
• HR ABAP
• Forms (Adobe Interactive Forms/Smart forms)
• Modification concepts (Enhancement points/BADI/User exits)
• SAP Gateway (OData Services/SOAP & REST Services)
• XSLT Transformations
• Good understanding of at least one of the Functional Area
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
• Commit to deliver quality and have a thorough approach
Good to Have:
• Business Server Pages (BSP)
• SAP Integration (IDOC/PI-proxy/BDOC/Webservice/Other)
• BW Extractors
• HTML5/JavaScript (SAPUI5)
• Basic understanding of SAP CRM
• Good understanding of the Solution Manager CHARM process will be an advantage
BW
• Must have applied knowledge in the design, development/configuration needed to effectively implement and maintain the SAP BW system at 7.0 Release Level.
• You should know the BW technical concepts (Expertise in replication from SAP ECC/CRM/SRM, setup of load chains, query development) plus its user interfaces: (GUI, Bex browser and Webex) and the specific features of BW. You can debug a program and find the root cause of a problem
• You should be able to communicate in non-technical ways with key users, detail their requirements and propose/implement reporting solutions
• You should have good SAP process knowledge, preferably in controlling departments and/or service industry environments.
• You should understand the implications of BI on authorization and the main concepts of user management.
• You should be committed to quality and have a thorough approach to the work.
