Global Independence - Data Integrity Senior Analyst

The Global Independence team is seeking a Senior Analyst to ensure data quality, reliability and consistency across systems and processes critical for meeting regulatory obligations and decision making.
The team
This is an internal firm professional service position within that supports firms of the Deloitte organization. Global Risk & Brand Protection (GR&BP) analysts in India play a critical role in enhancing, preserving, and protecting the reputation of the Deloitte organization. Specifically, GR&BP analysts assist in ensuring compliance with firm policies and professional standards in the areas of auditor independence, regulatory compliance, and risk. Functions within GR&BP include Global Independence, Technology, Regulatory, Privacy, Risk and Ethics.
The ideal GR&BP candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic work environment. They must also be able to develop best practices, develop and consistently apply a base of knowledge to matters that arise, and identify innovative solutions for complex issues. Individuals within GR&BP interact/coordinate frequently with other members across the member firm’s Risk & Regulatory Affairs group to effectively serve Deloitte professionals.
Work you’ll do
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and completeness of data related to clients, related parties, and opportunities in various data management systems of the firm. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular audits, validation checks, and reconciliation processes. Create and maintain documentation related to data integrity processes.
- Analyze data from various firmwide internal applications, monitor the data flow, conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations on corrective measures to leadership.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to identify and address data discrepancies and improve data governance policies and procedures. Stay up to date with industry trends, new tools and techniques in data analytics and make recommendations for future projects.
- Recommend technology solutions, such as apps and databases and automate data validation processes. Leverage technical skills to run basic SQL queries, build tools to monitor data accuracy, and design simple dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI.
- Assist with technology requirements development and work closely with the vendors and technology teams. This includes coordination of efforts between multiple teams to ensure seamless data management.
- : Collaborate with senior leaders, technology teams and other data management resources across the firm network to establish data quality standards and procedures. This may include planning and leading stakeholder calls, discussions with technology teams and other departments.
- Support various projects and initiatives, track the progress and report to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Technology, Information Management or related field (MBAs with technical background welcome)
- Years of Experience: Candidate must have minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, data quality management or similar field, preferably within a professional services or multinational corporation
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of data management principles and best practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data across various systems and databases.
- Strong data analytics and skills, including experience in using tools such as Advanced Excel, Python, R, and SQL
- Knowledge of database and other technology to build tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Basic skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, and PowerBI
- Exceptional reporting, process mapping, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organization; ability to work effectively with individuals from different countries and cultures as well as ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders on various initiatives.
- Basic awareness of data protection and privacy related regulations such as GDPR.
