ROLE
Level: Senior Consultant
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for designing, developing pipelines, and planning the deployment of the code to various environments as part of large-scale software solutions at enterprise level. You will work with functional and technical teams on the project located across shores independently leading and mentoring junior team members, collaborating to understand the functional requirements and translate them into work products. You will be involved in end-to-end delivery of the project from estimations, planning, execution and tracking metrics for analysis. Leads the delivery team to ensure incidents, problems, and change requests are managed and escalated as required to ensure high quality delivery and adherence to the related SLAs and contractual obligations.
The work you will do includes:
- Lead and drive discussions with business and functional analysts to understand the business requirements and the impact of integration on the overall business architecture.
- Prepare technical architecture and design; help shape requirements; and resolve ambiguities.
- Develop solutions following established technical design, integration application development standards and quality processes in projects.
- Establish technical design/development guides, templates and standards and ensure compliance.
- Run the daily calls / scrum meetings with respect to deliverables and build the weekly status reports to be reviewed with leadership.
- Perform detailed reviews on deliverables and provide technical guidance to the team members.
- Interact with onsite clients, coordinator / scrum master, analyst and offshore development, support team and other cross-functional teams.
- Create a positive customer support experience and build strong relationships through engaged listening and understanding, problem solving, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, communicating promptly on progress, and maintaining a professional attitude.
- Act as a liaison between application development teams and the customer to provide technical information and updates, advice customers on basic configuration and functionality questions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills / Project Experience:
Must Have:
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience OOPS concepts, Core Java, J2EE, ReactJS / AngularJS.
- Minimum 3+ years of work experience in an Application Support project.
- Good understanding of software support team functions and a solid understanding of the end-to-end application development process.
- Develop, test, and maintain programming environments and architectural standards.
- Communicate clearly across teams in the project with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform estimation of work products.
- Proactive drive on improvement and innovation ideas.
- Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience working on agile development teams (ideally leveraging Scrum or Kanban).
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions.
- Flexibility in working in shifts and ODC.
- Ability to provide after hours and on-call support as needed.
- Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and practices, ITIL certification preferred.
Good to Have:
- Experienced in Spring framework and concepts like Spring MVC, Sprint Integration, Spring Batch, etc..
- Experienced on various application server platforms and their supporting tools (Tomcat, Weblogic, Jboss and Websphere, IBI Webfocus, Automic etc.).
- Analytical & problem-solving skills & ability to multitask.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languages.
- Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka.
- Advanced technical certifications in OCP.
Education:
B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc. (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
Prior Experience:
6 - 10 years of experience working with Core Java, J2EE, SQL, RDBMS and Frontend technologies like ReactJS / AngularJS
