CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS

ROLE

Level: Senior Consultant

As Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines in an agile framework. Need-basis consultants will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

The work you will do includes: The Network Operations Consultant will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and managing network services, including Telco, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, Cloud, Network Virtualization, Telco Cloud, and Private Networks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Software Defined Network (SDN) operations and lifecycle management, industry standards, and the evolving vendor ecosystem. Core consulting skills are essential for this role, as the consultant will work closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions and drive innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Deployment:

o Lead the design, deployment, and management of Telco, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, Cloud, Network Virtualization, Telco Cloud, and Private Network services.

o Maintain network DevOps processes and deployment pipelines to implement and support network and feature releases.

o Ensure end-to-end (E2E) visibility and control over network operations and Network Operations Center (NOC) activities.

o Develop and implement network strategies that align with client requirements and industry best practices.

• SDN Operations and Lifecycle Management:

o Demonstrate deep understanding of SDN operations, including configuration, monitoring, and optimization.

o Manage the lifecycle of SDN solutions, from initial design to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

• Network Virtualization and Telco Cloud:

o Design and implement network virtualization solutions to enhance network efficiency and flexibility.

o Develop and manage Telco Cloud infrastructure to support scalable and resilient network services.

• Private Networks:

o Design and deploy private network solutions tailored to client-specific needs.

o Ensure the security and performance of private networks through continuous monitoring and optimization.

• Industry Innovation and Vendor Ecosystem:

o Stay abreast of industry innovations and emerging trends in the network space.

o Provide insights into the evolving vendor ecosystem and recommend innovative solutions to clients.

• Compliance and Standards:

o Ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

o Develop and maintain documentation related to network design, deployment, and operations.

• Consulting and Client Engagement:

o Utilize core consulting skills to engage with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored network solutions.

o Conduct workshops, presentations, and training sessions for clients and internal teams.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams including suppliers, partners and 3rd party vendors to ensure successful project delivery to meet client needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills / Project Experience:

• Technical Expertise:

o Deep understanding of telecommunications, SDN operations, and lifecycle management.

o Proficiency in designing and managing Telco, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, Cloud, Network Virtualization, Telco Cloud, and Private Network services.

o Extensive knowledge of industry standards and specifications like TMForum, MEF, ETSI, etc.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

o Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.

o Proven problem-solving abilities to address complex network issues and implement effective solutions.

• Project Management:

o Experience in managing network projects from inception to completion.

o Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage project timelines and budgets.

• Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

o Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

o Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.

• Industry Knowledge:

o Insights into industry innovation and the evolving vendor ecosystem.

o Awareness of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Must Have:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Flexibility to adapt and apply innovation to varied business domain and apply technical solutioning and learnings to use cases across business domains and industries

• Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools

Good to Have:

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address client-specific challenges.

• Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changing client requirements and emerging technologies.

• Project Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in managing client projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.

• Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with client business goals.

 Education:

B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./MBA degree or equivalent from accredited university

 Prior Experience:

• Experience:

o 8 - 12 years of previous consulting experience in the telecommunications or network operations industry.

o Experience with network automation and orchestration tools.

• Innovation and Creativity:

o Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to network challenges.

o Experience with emerging technologies such as 5G, IoT, and AI in network operations.

• Leadership and Mentoring:

o Leadership skills to guide and mentor junior team members.

o Ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
