Position Summary

Tax Technology Services Consultant II

Deloitte Tax in India supports Deloitte Tax LLP service lines through technology-enabled tax solutions that help address complex business and regulatory requirements. As a Tax Technology Services Consultant II, you will design, develop, and support SAP S/4HANA solutions using ABAP on HANA, RAP, CDS, and OData. This role works across tax, functional, and technology teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions that align with business needs and evolving tax processes. You will also contribute to solution design, performance optimization, testing, and production support across SAP tax technology initiatives.

Work you'll do

As a Tax Technology Services Consultant II on the Tax Technology Services team, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and enhance SAP S/4HANA solutions using ABAP on HANA, RAP, CDS, and OData
  • Design and support technical components, services, and integrations for tax and legal process requirements
  • Create and optimize CDS views, OData services, and HANA-based objects with focus on performance and maintainability
  • Prepare technical designs, unit tests, and documentation, and participate in code reviews, testing, and defect resolution
  • Collaborate with tax, functional, and project stakeholders to align solution design with business requirements and delivery timelines

The team

Deloitte’s Tax Technology Services team helps clients modernize tax operations through SAP-enabled solutions that connect tax requirements with enterprise technology platforms. The team works across tax, ERP, and digital transformation initiatives to support scalable, compliant, and maintainable solutions. Professionals in this team collaborate with tax specialists, functional teams, and technology practitioners to deliver solutions aligned to business and regulatory needs.

Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore/Gurgaon

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-8 years of experience in SAP or SAP S/4HANA development
  • Experience developing solutions in ABAP on HANA within SAP S/4HANA environments
  • Experience building RAP objects, including behavior definitions and implementations
  • Experience creating CDS views, associations, and annotations
  • Experience designing or supporting OData services
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models

Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP Fiori elements, UI5, or frontend integration in SAP environments
  • Experience optimizing HANA-based development using SQL or CDS pushdown techniques
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform services
  • Experience supporting technical design documentation, unit testing, and code review activities
  • Experience with tax process design or tax touchpoints within SAP
  • SAP certification in ABAP for SAP S/4HANA, RAP, or SAP Business Technology Platform
