Tax Technology Services Consultant II

Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited supports U.S. Tax service lines through technology-enabled delivery and innovation. As part of Deloitte’s Tax Technology Services practice, this role will help design and build SAP-based solutions that support tax transformation for clients operating in an increasingly complex business environment. The Tax Technology Services Consultant II will contribute to the development of scalable applications on SAP Business Technology Platform using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP UI5, and Fiori technologies.

Work you'll do

As a Tax Technology Services Consultant II on the Tax Technology Services team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing backend services using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Defining CDS data models and exposing services through OData V4
  • Building user interfaces using Fiori Elements and SAPUI5, including custom extensions where needed
  • Integrating SAP applications with external systems through REST APIs, OData services, and other interfaces
  • Collaborating with functional, technical, and stakeholder teams to support solution design, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement

The team

Deloitte’s Tax Technology Services team helps organizations address tax requirements through technology-enabled solutions that align tax, finance, and business operations. The team works across SAP platforms and related technologies to support design, implementation, and enhancement activities for client engagements. This role will work with cross-functional teams to help deliver scalable solutions that support tax transformation objectives.

Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore/Gurgaon/Mumbai

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of SAP development experience, including SAP Cloud Application Programming Model with Node.js, TypeScript, and SAP UI5 or Fiori
  • Experience defining CDS data models and exposing services through OData V4
  • Experience building applications using Fiori Elements and SAPUI5
  • Experience integrating applications with REST APIs, OData services, or other external systems
  • Experience deploying applications on SAP Business Technology Platform, including Cloud Foundry or Kyma
  • Experience using Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA tax or finance processes
  • Experience implementing custom logic and extensibility in SAP Cloud Application Programming Model
  • Experience with SAP authorization mechanisms, including XSUAA and OAuth2
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models, including Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience developing multilingual, versioned, or workflow-enabled applications
