Consultant, Accounting, Auditing, and Reporting Services - Opportunity, Engagement management & Reporting
You will provide end-to-end operational support to Assurance practitioners. You will manage Client Relationship Management (CRM) activities, coordinate risk clearance, and support Client Acceptance and Engagement Acceptance processes. You will also set up pricing and WBS charge codes and manage engagement files and reports across internal platforms from setup through archiving. This role requires strong attention to detail, critical & analytical thinking, and the ability to consistently apply process guidelines across varied scenarios.
About our team
AST team in India supports Assurance Partners and Directors as an Engagement Operations and Risk Intelligence function for National Accounting Reporting Advisory engagements. The team manages end-to-end engagement setup and governance—from sold opportunity and WBS creation through Omnia/Source file setup, document curation, evidence completeness monitoring, and timely archiving. AST team ensures compliance with firm quality and retention requirements by applying QRM guidance, engagement checklists, and deliverable QA documentation, and by coordinating required approvals and risk artifacts.
Key role & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Enter, update, and maintain account and opportunity data in SAP/CRM in accordance with firm standards and processes
• Create and actively manage opportunities end-to-end, including proactive follow-ups with Partners and practice leaders to drive revenue realization
• Submit required risk/independence requests and coordinate with internal teams to complete screenings and checks (e.g., World-Check, background, conflict checks), tracking status through completion
• Create and update CAEA records in CRM, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Review pricing scenarios and advise practitioners on pricing setup requirements; draft/refine pricing scenarios and support documentation to enable approvals and execution
• Create and maintain WBS charge codes with a high degree of accuracy; resolve issues related to setup and governance
• Manage engagement file lifecycle activities in Omnia (setup, ongoing maintenance, and archiving) across internal platforms in compliance with retention and quality requirements
• Accountable for monitoring whether Omnia is populated with evidence supporting delivery of the service in line with the existing guidance
• Respond to Partners/Directors requests promptly and professionally, providing clear guidance and timely resolution
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Support ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to standardize, streamline, and reduce rework
• Deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, exercising sound judgment and attention to detail
• Flex across responsibilities based on workload and business priorities; collaborate cross-functionally to achieve broader team objectives
Work location & shift timings
• Hyderabad office
• Hybrid work model (minimum two to three days per week in the Deloitte office)
• 2 pm to 11 pm IST (hours may vary based on business needs)
Qualifications
Bachelor or MBA degree with minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience in a similar role
Required Professional Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to interact effectively with stakeholders and leadership
• Excellent time management, listening, and comprehension skills to meet quality and turnaround expectations
• Strong analytical and logical thinking with high attention to detail
• Data quality & governance mindset (accuracy, completeness, audit trail; disciplined record keeping)
• Financial/pricing acumen (pricing scenario literacy; understanding of charge codes/WBS and downstream impacts etc.)
• Critical thinking and creative problem-solving; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships across levels and geographies
• Proactive commitment to continuous learning and role-relevant development
Required Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
Preferred Skills:
• CRM/Jupiter Opportunity to Engagement knowledge in Auditing/Consulting/Advisory businesses
