Services Support Associate II, Data Preparation and Reporting-Operations
The team
GFS is continuing the rollout of finance services across the Deloitte Member Firm network. This role is part of the Reporting & Analysis (“R&A”). R&A supports member firm clients with all aspects of management reporting and analysis. R&A is made up of analytical, financial, and reporting experts that align reporting with the strategic priorities of our businesses, enabling areas/enterprise solutions and business leaders. The team is responsible for designing and driving the future of management reporting for all levels of firm leadership. With a focus on innovation, we continuously seek ways to enhance and optimize existing deliverables and create new reporting solutions. We are also uniquely positioned to identify and implement leading practices across clients. This management role sits on our Operations team, coordinating across teams to manage several shared services and processes and driving end-to-end solutions and analysis that provide our clients and leaders with the consumable information and insight they need to drive better business decisions and address challenges.
Work you’ll do as an Analyst within GFS R&A Operations
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare daily, weekly and periodic reports and dashboards to meet internal client business needs
- Maintain deliverable documentation and continuous improvement
- Extract data from different sources for various reporting and analysis purposes
- Provide internal clients with timely and accurate ad-hoc reports and analysis
Service Delivery and Project Management:
- Provide exceptional client service by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, accountability and integrity
- Maintain quality and accuracy standards for all assigned work
- Keep up to date with current business models and processes of the organization
- Continually look for ways to improve reporting processes and enhance overall client experience
- Complete other duties assigned from time to time
People and Relationship Management:
- Successfully manage client relations and develop trust-based relationships with our internal clients
- Identify learning opportunities and participate in training
- Support a collaborative and innovative culture
Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related subject
- 1 – 3 years of experience in business planning and analysis/operations, preferably in MNC or global organization
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Capability and Skills Requirements:
- Ability to research and analyze data from internal and external sources
- Good understanding of financial and reporting concepts and operations metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs) used by professional services firms
- Possess strong communication skills with proficiency in English (including reading, writing and verbal communication), and ability to clearly articulate ideas and present concepts convincingly to a wide range of audiences.
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently without continual supervision
- Ability to work within a virtual team in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
Technology or Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of MS Excel, proficient preferred
- Proficient level of expertise in MS PowerPoint, with skills to create executive level presentations preferred
- Ability to effectively use other commonly used software, such as MS Word and MS Outlook, in completion of work
- Knowledge of financial systems (HANA/AO, SAP) and ServiceNow is helpful
