Role Summary
As a Senior Consultant within the Strategic Analytics team, you will serve as a key driver for data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards in Tableau and Excel, performing advanced data analysis, and delivering actionable insights through clear, concise presentations. Your ability to turn complex data sets into understandable business recommendations will support strategic initiatives across the organization.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Analytics & Dashboard Development
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions in Tableau and Excel to monitor business metrics and KPIs.
- Perform in-depth data analysis across multiple data sources to support organizational strategy, performance measurement, and process improvement.
- Continuously enhance dashboards based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring usability, accuracy, and visual appeal.
Data Management & Insight Generation
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets to ensure data quality and accuracy for analytics projects.
- Identify trends, patterns, and meaningful insights from complex data, and translate these into actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
Presentation & Communication
- Create and deliver clear, compelling presentations that effectively communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- Develop executive-ready materials to support strategic decision-making, ensuring complex analyses are distilled into easily digestible insights.
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage multiple analytics workflows, setting priorities and timelines to meet project goals.
- Liaise with business leaders and IT to ensure alignment on analytics initiatives, requirements, and expected outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
Core Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau (dashboard design, data blending, calculated fields, dashboard actions, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, VBA a plus)
- Experience with data preparation, cleaning, and management best practices
- Basic knowledge of Python or willingness to learn is considered a plus
Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities
- Strong ability to analyze complex business problems and large data sets
- Proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive measurable impact
Presentation & Communication
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in creating executive-facing presentations and reports
- Ability to tailor communication style to both technical and business audiences
Organizational & Interpersonal Skills
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Strong project management, organization, and time management skills
Preferred:
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
- Experience in a consulting or client-facing analytics setting
- Advanced data storytelling
