Manager- Accounts Payables - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

As an Accounts Payables Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process for our Middle East member firm, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation activities. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries, ensure compliance with corporate policies, and support audit and regulatory requirements. The role also includes supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing financial reports, and providing management and performance oversight for the accounts payable team at USI. You will be involved in continuous process improvement initiatives and may handle special projects or ad-hoc requests as needed.

Work you’ll do

The key job responsibilities include the following:

1. Accounts Payable Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and timely payments.
  • Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing the accounts’ payable function, improving the driving process, and enhancing efficiency.

2. Tax Compliance:

  • Stay up to date with tax regulations and changes in the professional services industry, ensuring compliance in accounts payable processes.
  • Collaborate with the finance and tax teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to tax regulations and identify areas for improvement.

3. Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a team of accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous learning.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the accounts payable team, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met.

4.Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Stay informed on the latest best practices in quality management and reporting.
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement teams.

5. Stakeholder & Vendor Relationship Management

  • Act as the key escalation point for resolving complex vendor and internal stakeholder queries.
  • Lead communications and negotiations with vendors to ensure positive, professional interactions.

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

The team

The F&BO team at Hyderabad supports the Deloitte organization in North South Europe with a wide variety of capabilities like financial reporting, HR and financial transaction processing, administrative service and helpdesk support, marketing, and IT services.

Experience & Qualification

  •  Any Graduate with 10+ years of experience in (AP/AR/Managing client master data reporting).
  •  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft own correspondence.
  •  Strong team management, people management and performance management skills are essential.
  •  Strong relationship building skills.
  •  Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with professionals at various levels.
  •  Experience of handling large number of direct reports from different work streams and coordinating with various teams to deliver exceptional results.
  •  Manage conflicting priorities and support a culture of change and continuous improvement.
  •  Proven success as a high-performing team leader with ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  •  Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  •  Ability to anticipate and understand client issues and needs.
  •  Experience of working in highly effective service delivery model.
  •  Conflict resolution.
  •  Strong matrix/data management with good analytical skills.
  •  Stakeholder Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., D365) is a plus.
