 Senior Power BI Developer/Visualization Specialist | Senior Analyst – Admin Level III –

The Senior Power BI Developer/Visualization Specialist will design and deliver Power BI solutions that align with

strategic goals. These solutions will ensure usability, performance, reliability, security, and control for reporting and

analytics processes. This role requires strong expertise in data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics, with a

deep understanding of data modeling, dashboard creation, and the ability to transform complex datasets into actionable

insights.


The ideal candidate will excel at developing high-quality, visually impactful, and user-friendly dashboards that deliver

precise reporting solutions tailored to drive effective decision-making across various levels of the organization.

Additionally, this individual will ensure scalability and efficiency in Power BI solutions while integrating data from multiple

sources and collaborating with stakeholders to support data-driven strategies.


Work you’ll do

A unique opportunity to be part of a growing Global Finance Services Reporting and Analytics team, leveraging cuttingedge

tools like Power BI to design and deliver impactful business intelligence solutions. You will play a pivotal role in

transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, creating leadership-ready dashboards, and driving data-driven

decision-making across the organization.


? Design and deliver Power BI solutions that align with strategic goals while ensuring usability, performance,

reliability, security, and control for reporting and analytics processes.

? Develop pixel-perfect, visually impactful dashboards tailored to executive-level decision-making.

? Build and maintain data models that support various new and enhancement projects, ensuring scalability and

efficiency.

? Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT developers, business analysts, and clients, to create solutions that

meet the specific needs of various business areas.

? Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for Power BI applications and dashboards, ensuring seamless

performance.

? Integrate data from multiple sources and perform ETL processes using tools such as Power Query or other data

transformation techniques as required.

? Provide effort estimation for development, enhancement, and maintenance activities.

? Ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency in all deliverables.

? Support and coordinate the efforts of Subject Matter Experts, Development, Quality Assurance, Usability,

Training, and other internal resources for the successful implementation of system enhancements and fixes.

? Create and maintain internal documentation and end-user training materials as needed.

? Provide input to standards and guidelines, implementing best practices to ensure consistency across all Power

BI projects.


Work Location: India, Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 2:00pm to 11:00pm


Qualifications


Required Skills:

? 3-4 years of experience in Power BI development, including advanced visualization design and dashboard

creation.

? Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated measures and columns in Power BI.

? Proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, and optimization.

? Strong data modeling skills, including the ability to design star and snowflake schemas to support analytics.

? Proven ability to create leadership-ready dashboards with a focus on business outcomes and actionable insights.

? Basic finance knowledge (e.g., P&L metrics, forecasting, budgeting).


Preferred Skills:

? Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VBA scripting, and integration with Power BI.

Familiarity with SAP Business Objects, HANA Analysis for Office, or other enterprise-level reporting tools.

? Certifications in Power BI, Microsoft Data Analyst Associate, or related technologies.

? Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics and statistical modeling.

? Exposure to other visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik Sense for comparative analysis.

? Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions, such as Azure Synapse Analytics or AWS Redshift.


Portfolio Submission:

? Candidates are encouraged to showcase a portfolio of dashboards they have built in Power BI.

? Dashboards should highlight a variety of use cases, such as executive reporting, operational insights, and trend

analysis.

? Include a brief description of each dashboard, explaining:

The business problem it addresses.

Key metrics and visualizations included.

Tools and techniques used (e.g., DAX, SQL, data modeling).

Outcomes or decisions enabled by the dashboard.

? If confidentiality is a concern, candidates may create mock dashboards using sample datasets (e.g., public

datasets or anonymized data).


Soft Skills:

? Strong communication and storytelling abilities to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.

? Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across virtual and cross-functional teams.

? Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities.

? Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex data challenges effectively.
