Assistant Manager – Operations

Key Role Description:

Assistant Manager will be independently driving complex business processes, deliver high-quality outcomes, and advise stakeholders on best practices. Assistant Manager will manage end-to-end process cycles, oversee SLAs and timelines, lead process enhancements, ensure compliance, foster cross-team collaboration, and serve as the escalation point, contributing to continuous improvement and organizational growth.

Functional Expertise:

• Demonstrate deep expertise in client, vendor, personnel, entity, and opportunity data, acting as a catalyst for informed decision-making and business value.

• Gather, document, and interpret complex client requirements, providing comprehensive user support and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Lead efforts to validate and enhance the Firm’s client master data by sourcing, evaluating, and integrating additional information from various platforms.

• Leverage 6+ years of hands-on experience in data management, including client data profiling, quality control, and building trust in data among stakeholders.

• Apply advanced Client Data Integration (CDI) methodologies to design, implement, and improve the Client Data Hub, ensuring robust data matching, merging, and linking.

• Utilize client segmentation techniques to classify and organize clients, improve industry classification, and support market refresh initiatives.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of internal and external data platforms and sources (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Informatica, D&B Hoovers, Compustat, EDGAR, MergerStat) to optimize data management and integration.

• Work seamlessly with both normalized and multi-dimensional data models, supporting complex data architecture needs.

• Apply 6+ years of experience in data architecture, including Change Data Capture (CDC), multi-dimensional hierarchies, geo-coding, and managing data across multiple time horizons.

• Employ Business Process Improvement (BPI) methodologies to optimize workflows, increase throughput, and enhance data quality.

• Manage end-to-end data management processes, collaborating with stakeholders, responding to data inquiries, and ensuring effective process execution.

• Oversee quality assurance for daily workflows, providing guidance and support to the team on error resolution and process improvements.

Project Management:

• Lead a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts as the technical lead for knowledge sharing applications, ensuring effective execution of day-to-day responsibilities.

• Make independent decisions with minimal supervision, driving strong impact on team performance and outcomes.

• Develop and deliver training programs and process overviews for team members and business stakeholders, fostering cross-training and upskilling within the team.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with client teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of process roadmaps, priorities, and expectations.

• Document and own process documentation, including training materials, QA processes, and responses to unexpected process outcomes.

• Develop subject matter expertise in key areas, serving as the SME and providing guidance on complex data management, research, and workflow methodologies.

• Mentor, coach, and conduct regular performance management activities for team members, including coaching sessions, performance reviews, and career development discussions.

• Drive innovation and problem-solving by collaborating with leadership, leading strategic assignments, and executing innovation initiatives with the team.

• Provide guidance and leadership to virtual teams during periods of change or ambiguity, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication.

• Define and streamline business processes to eliminate ambiguity and enhance implementation efficiency.

• Continuously identify opportunities for team learning and development, planning and coordinating upskilling initiatives in collaboration with management.

• Manage stakeholder relationships to align expectations, enhance service value, and ensure delivery of program priorities.

Performance, Talent Management & Stakeholder Management:

• Conduct regular and timely counseling sessions and performance assessments for team members.

• Establish clear business processes to eliminate ambiguity and streamline implementation.

• Engage team members to drive innovation and cognitive processes

• Lead master data management projects by defining project requirements, scope, and implementation plans.

• Develop strong stakeholder relationships to manage expectations and enhance the value and depth of service.

• Anticipate client needs and provide tailored solutions.

• Guide and support Assistant Managers in conducting metrics analysis and identifying opportunities for improving Global Program Efficacy

Firm / Industry knowledge:

• Demonstrate strong understanding of firm policies and risk management elements

• Ability to connect the dots and translate strategic priorities into executable action items

Learning and Development & Documentation:

• Acquire expertise in all relevant business areas and establish oneself as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).

• Crosstrain both existing and new team members on intricate data management, research, and workflow methodologies.

• Identify and document instances where processes yield unexpected results. Take ownership of creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation and training materials.

• Recognize and document quality assurance (QA) processes, including research and documentation of complex data change requests.

• Understand the overall objective of the processes and should be able to give guidance to others with minimal supervision. Should be able to prioritize the work for As and SAs and manage the overall execution of the project

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive complex processes and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision, consulting with the Deputy Manager as needed.

• Serve as a consultant and trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on process options, pros and cons, and best practices to support informed decision-making.

• Establish and implement new processes to address ambiguity, streamline execution, and enhance efficiency.

• Lead execution of enhancement and maintenance initiatives, including requirements gathering, scoping, and implementation planning.

• Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to boost efficiency and quality of deliverables.

• Capture, analyze, and disseminate periodic team performance and metrics reports to support transparency and continuous improvement.

• Lead cross-team collaboration and identify opportunities for cross-functional teaming to maximize impact.

• Develop plans, schedules, and resource estimates for processes and tasks, leveraging established process management standards.

• Triage and scope incoming requests, proactively assess team involvement, and add value through forward-thinking solutions.

• Take corrective and preventive actions on identified issues, ensuring measurable impact and continuous improvement.

• Finalize delivery timelines in collaboration with relevant teams, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.

• Demonstrate strong business understanding and awareness of critical elements across all process stages.

• Serve as the escalation point for customers and stakeholders, ensuring effective issue resolution and communication.

• Manage the entire process cycle end-to-end, from initiation through delivery and follow-up

Technology or Other Requirements:

• 6+ years on any of the below given platforms:

o Informatica 360 MDM platform

o Salesforce Platform

o SAP S4

• Advance knowledge and 6+ years of experience on Microsoft Office suite including MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint and MS Visio.

• Ability to write SQL statements.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s and/ or Master's degree in Computer Information/ General Science/ Commerce and Business Administration or related field; minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work experience. Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in data management role.
