Work you will do
Center of Excellence (Client Assessments): (Quality & Risk)
The Role
- Professional will work with a network of risk & compliance groups, third party representatives, and engagement teams on Deloitte’s Center of Excellence (COE) Team. You will:
- Review and analyze Primary and Enhanced Due Diligences (EDD) escalations, notes, and matrices completed by Level 1 teams for completeness, accuracy, and quality.
- Mitigate and escalate true hits (e.g., PEP, sanctions, adverse media) to Subject Matter Expert in line with policy.
- Conduct secondary research to verify new accounts, assess corporate structure, and ensure thorough documentation.
- Support in delegation of work to Level 1 teams and prioritization of cases based on business needs.
- Ensure timely completion of EDD requests in line with procedures and required turnaround times.
- Perform quality assurance reviews on EDD casework before final outcomes are issued to business stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Business) to resolve queries and ensure compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Respond to business queries and participate in team meetings.
- Drive a culture of efficiency and productivity by identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Contribute to the preparation and upkeep of metrics, dashboards, and reporting packs.
- Engage in ad-hoc compliance projects and strategic uplift programs as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Gain extensive knowledge and understanding of Deloitte KYC and third-party due diligence policies and guidelines, as well as working knowledge and proficiency in various risk & compliance, group compliance processes and monitoring functions
- Apply sound judgement when assessing risks and proposing mitigations.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in communicating directly with onshore proposal teams
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with team, peers, Partners, Principals, or Managing Directors
- Proactively troubleshoot issues and exercise discretion when management support may be necessary to resolve an issue
- Manage your workload and priority items
- Apply sound judgement and comply with firm policies on handling sensitive and confidential data
- Assist management in identifying and mitigating compliance risks, enhancing and implementing compliance monitoring efforts and fostering a compliance culture; where appropriate, propose process improvements and enhancements
- Support teammates and work closely to develop best practices and collectively develop a knowledge base
- Independently manage workload and priorities with limited oversight

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Advanced Excel for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard management
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate/Post-graduate with an overall 1 to 3 years of experience with strong understanding of KYC, AML, sanctions screening, and PEP identification.
- Familiarity with tools such as World-Check, LexisNexis, Orbis is an advantage
- Working knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) applications in compliance is a plus
- Team player with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Similar experience from big four will be an added advantage

Shift timings: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM
Finance & Shared Services
The “Finance & Shared Services” team at Hyderabad supports the Deloitte organization in Australia with a wide variety of capabilities like management and financial reporting, finance system support, IT services, Business Intelligence development, client and engagement acceptance, and client contract management activities.
In addition, we have other sub-teams under FSS which provides services related to Independence and Conflicts. Quality and Risk team identifies, mitigates and responds to risk. It provides information on the policies, processes and consultation points that will help ensure quality in all the work that is delivered to support AU member firm.
