Job Description: Treasury - Analyst
Overview
The Treasury Analyst will play a key role in managing daily treasury functions, ensuring efficient cash management, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position involves close coordination with banks, internal stakeholders and auditors. It requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in SAP and banking portals, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Banking and Payment Operations
- Review and upload files on Bank portal for payroll, vendor payments and other transactions.
- Coordinate with various banks to resolve queries, facilitate transactions, update signatories, and ensure smooth processing of payments and banking activities.
- Process and reconcile NEFT transactions, including handling rejects, receipts, and clearing entries in SAP.
- Manage auto and manual Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and period-end reconciliations.
- Generate UTR numbers for GST and process GST-related payments and uploads.
- Prepare and process payments for employee refunds, one-time payments, and project-related disbursements via Citi Direct portal.
- Maintain check stock register and cash request schedules.
Treasury Management
- Accrue interest income and prepare related entries, including ICD interest accruals.
- Book spot rates for incoming funds and clear funds received.
- Prepare cash forecasts, cash schedules, and maximum cash balance reports.
- Assess cash requirements for dividend payouts and ICDs.
- Consolidate and circulate periodic reports for all USI entities.
Audit, Compliance, and Reporting
- Prepare and reconcile Form 16A, Form 26AS, and other regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate and collate data for various audits.
- Update NESL website for bank guarantees and reconcile open BGs.
- Prepare and circulate periodic and quarterly reports for US and leadership teams.
- Support KYC coordination and signatory updates with bankers and stakeholders.
General Treasury Activities
- Review, confirm, and approve treasury transactions and activities.
- Handle treasury mailbox, respond to ad hoc queries, and interact with Citi Bank and other banking partners on concerns.
- Prepare SOP process documentation and support process improvements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants/vendors.
- Test and confirm treasury-related system upgrades.
Accounting and Reconciliation
- Reclassify salary, cost center, and WHT GL entries as required.
- Reconcile clearing accounts and Blackline recons.
- Account for funds received and ensure accurate periodic entries.
- Manage vendor and DTE rejects, parking entries in vendor codes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Chartered Accountant
- 1-3 years’ experience in treasury operations, banking, or corporate finance.
- Proficiency in SAP (especially F-03 clearing), Citi Direct portal, and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating with multiple banking partners for transaction processing, query resolution, and relationship management.
- Strong understanding of cash management, payment processing, and reconciliation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with audit coordination and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
