Senior Analyst - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited (Strategy & Transformation)

Finance & Shared Services

The Finance & Shared Services team offers comprehensive support to both our client-facing and internal service lines. This includes various functions such as management & financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable, debtor management, payroll, data quality, finance system support, and Business Intelligence development.

Furthermore, within FSS, we have subsidiary teams dedicated to ensuring client service excellence through independence and compliance checks. Our client contract management team provides specialized support to our strategic clients, assisting with reporting, contract reviews, and addressing their ad hoc queries.

Additionally, we have a presence in the human resources domain, known as People & Performance Transaction Services (PPTS). Recently, we have expanded into Information Technology Services as well.

The Strategy, Competitive Intelligence and Corporate Development

The Strategy, Competitive Intelligence and Corporate Development teams sit in the Strategy & Transformation Office of Deloitte. This team of practitioners work on a wide variety of projects from proactive market scans to identify emerging trends, to operating model redesign to executing on our firm’s inorganic growth priorities. 

 

This team works closely with the other areas of the Strategy & Transformation Office both within Deloitte Australia as well as AP and Global to share learnings and co-deliver projects. This team also works closely with specialist teams (such as Monitor Deloitte, Finance, Talent) and with each of Deloitte’s Business Units to bring cutting-edge thinking, and execution ability to create an impact that matters.

 

Work you’ll do

  • This role will involve supporting the Strategy, Competitive Intelligence and Corporate Development teams on a project basis. You will work directly with the respective AU teams, and be strongly encouraged to build relationships with and leverage the learnings from similar disciplines supporting other MFs / PFs
  • Key responsibilities when working with the different teams to include:

o   Competitive Intelligence 

  • Conduct proactive scanning for market trends and weak signals to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Create compelling, narrative-driven reports primarily in PowerPoint, tailored to the firm’s most senior leaders.
  • Utilise tools like Excel, Tableau and/or Power BI to develop impactful data visualisations that communicate insights.

o   Strategy

  • Conducting secondary research to support strategic projects, including competitor analysis, industry reports, and performing analysis to identify trends and insights
  • Assisting in building and updating financial models, such as revenue forecasts, scenario modelling and performance analyses
  • Contributing to the creation of slides, reports, and other documentation for Executive-level audience that summarise findings and support strategic recommendations
  • Developing visual aids, such as charts, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations, to effectively communicate analysis and insights

o   Corporate Development (Inorganic Growth)

  • Conducting proactive scanning to identify businesses that provide services that are of interest to Deloitte
  • Assisting in reviewing business financials to understand business performance; building and updating financial models, such as revenue forecasts, scenario modelling and performance analyses
  • preparing monthly performance reports for all acquisitions and preparing dashboards for the Executive

Work Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM

Key Skills & qualifications:

·       Graduate with at least two years of experience in an analytically intensive field in Consulting

  • Problem solver: National intellectual curiosity and experience in problem solving with the ability to learn rapidly and to exercise mature judgement
  • Effective communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Quantitative skills: Strong quantitative, analytical and financial modelling skills 
  • Team player: Collaborative mindset, adaptable to working across different cross-geo teams
  • Creative: Strong visual design skills able to communicate ideas and concepts visually to Executive-level audiences and build dashboards in Tableau
  • Cool under pressure: Experience working at high intensity under pressure to deliver to tight timeframes
  • Leader: Strong attention to detail and quality, and a desire to take early responsibility
