The Regulatory Reporting professional is responsible for overseeing the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory reports for Investment Management Firm Reporting (including 1940 Act Funds, Private Funds, Liquidity Reporting, and Derivatives Reporting etc.). This role ensures regulatory compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of all filings, while maintaining strong process governance, documentation standards, and control frameworks. The specialist serves as a key escalation point for regulatory reporting matters and supports audits, examinations, and ongoing operational improvements. Here are the specific responsibilities for this role:
- Manage end-to-end regulatory reporting activities covering fund reporting, liquidity reporting, and derivatives reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and deadlines.
- Review, approve, and oversee the submission of all regulatory filings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with established standards.
- Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures, documentation, and control frameworks to support audit readiness and regulatory examinations.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for regulatory reporting issues, coordinating resolution across internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Support regulatory exams, internal audits, and ad hoc data requests related to fund, liquidity, and derivatives reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen reporting quality, reduce operational risk, and improve process efficiency.
- Ensure appropriate knowledge transfer, cross training, and coverage to mitigate key person risk across regulatory reporting processes.
- Support the regulatory reporting filing process for non-financial reg reports (NFRR), SEC, CFTC, liquidity, and derivative reporting filings (Form PF, TIC, N-Port, CPO-PQR etc.)
- Prepare, review, and file regulatory documents, ensuring compliance with relevant deadlines and regulations
- Assist in continuous improvement and change management
- Maintain process documentation for all filings and reporting activities; support creation of SOPs, checklists, audit trails, and controls
- Participate in regular knowledge sharing of regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with technology teams to facilitate data sourcing, triage, and management of recurring and ad hoc regulatory reporting needs
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 1 - 8 years experience managing regulatory reporting processes within asset management or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of Investment Management reporting, including 1940 Act Funds, Private Funds, liquidity reporting, and derivatives reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, review complex regulatory deliverables, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Proven experience with process documentation, controls, and audit/exam support.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across legal, compliance, operations, and external partners.
- Intermediate skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SQL.
Education:
- B. Com / BBA / M.Com or similar 3 year graduate course equivalent from accredited university
