Assistant Manager - Growth & Development - Audit & Assurance - Development Specialist
Role Description:
Act as a learning and talent development specialist on effective and leading-edge learning and development designs that align with learning and talent development strategy to achieve desired business outcomes. Assist in the creation and development of various learning programs, training experiences, to help support Deloitte personnel develop the capabilities and knowledge need to grow Deloitte. Execute and operationalize development programs and processes. Provide functional area expertise to identify, research and resolve complex problems.
Unique Business Situation:
Due to the regulatory requirements and oversight of the PCAOB, members of the Audit Learning team are often asked to respond to multiple, random, urgent requests - curriculum content, delivery logistics and timing, and in process development. As such, it is critical that development specialists can effectively cope with change and shift gears comfortably.
It is critical that development specialists are comfortable aligning communication, people, culture, processes, resources, and systems to ensure effective implementation and delivery of required results.
Our Audit Talent Development Learning Team works primarily and exclusively in a virtual environment. It is critical that development specialists can allocate their own time efficiently, handle multiple demands and competing priorities on their own with, at times, little direct supervision from others, manage meetings effectively over the phone, and recognize and demonstrate engagement and support for their team by actively participating on calls, raising questions and sharing their opinions appropriately.
This role will be client-facing with the Audit Practice and the following foundational stakeholder management skills are critical to being successful:
Adaptable communication skills: tailoring one’s style appropriately to different audience needs and preferences
High level of responsiveness (ability to manage daily email requests and respond with status within 24 hours of receipt)
Business writing skills: can write succinctly, but with impact. Knows what context is relevant and what is considered as ‘noise’ to the reader.
Strong project management skills, including building and monitoring work-plans, knowing what to prioritize and why, knowing who to keep informed, why, and how often, knowing when to escalate.
Work you’ll do:
Strong project management skills: being able to create, update a project plan and understand what is critical path
Ability to understand and execute on stakeholder management, knowing what is important to what stakeholder and how to deliver appropriate messages effectively
Basis understanding of instructional design,
Strong communication skills with stakeholders, US team members, and other cross functional team members
Ability to be available in different time zones
Ability to track details and supporting learning management systems and other supporting learning systems
Ability to drive work to completion on time and on budget
Escalating issues and concerns in a timely and appropriate way
Liaise with other COEs, Business Advisors and Core Talent Services (CTS), as appropriate
Asist with the design, development, pilot, and delivery of assigned programs. Activities may include:
Defining business outcomes
Designing the complete learning experience
Delivering the program for transfer of learning and application to the job
Driving follow-through to maximize transfer of knowledge, skills, and capabilities to the job
Deploying active on-the-job performance support
Documenting results
Team with program managers to conduct research for learning programs and support content updates as needed
Effectively communicate program design strategy, program status, and issues with stakeholders at all levels as appropriate; Resolve escalated issues / inquiries
Demonstrate initiative in gathering feedback and data from practitioners, improving learning and development programs, and constantly moving learning to the next level
Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, in the business, Talent, and National Learning and Talent Development to:
Understand the talent development initiatives across the organization
Share learnings and best practices
Help align processes to gain efficiencies
Drive and support data analysis and reporting related to
Learning planning and execution
Outcomes of learning programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree; Minimum 4-5 years of related experience
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Strong strategic-thinking skills with an ability to collaborate with team members on best practices
Consultative approach toward clients
Sound leadership skills
Proficient Microsoft Office
Location: Hyderabad
Timings: 2 pm – 11 pm
