Deputy Manager, Risk and Regulatory Services

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Assurance Nonattest Quality & Risk Management team within the Audit & Assurance business. This role supports quality monitoring, and risk-sensing activities across Assurance nonattest engagements and helps teams adhere to internal policies, quality standards, and established processes.
The professionals in this role will review monitoring results, identify trends and risk indicators, oversee reporting and issue tracking, and provide actionable insights to leadership and key stakeholders. The role also includes responsibility for reviewing team output, coaching junior professionals, strengthening execution quality, and contributing to continuous improvement of monitoring processes, and reporting capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with relevant experience in compliance, quality monitoring, reporting, analytics, engagement operations, or related business support environments.

Work you'll do:

As a Deputy Manager, Risk and Regulatory Services in the Assurance Nonattest Quality & Risk Management team, you will be responsible for supporting quality monitoring, reporting, and issue management activities across Assurance nonattest engagements.

Key Responsibilities
• Support execution of quality monitoring, and compliance tracking across Assurance nonattest engagements
• Review monitoring results, exception outputs, and engagement-level information to identify policy/process non-adherence, quality risks, and negative trends
• Perform and oversee data validation, data cleansing, and trend analysis to improve the reliability and usability of reporting outputs
• Translate business, risk, process, and policy requirements into meaningful metrics, reporting views, and actionable insights
• Track findings, remediation actions, aging items, and closure status to support timely follow-up and effective issue management
• Prepare concise summaries, presentations, dashboards, and reports for leadership and key stakeholders
• Review work performed by analysts and senior analysts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to team standards
• Coach and guide junior team members on quality of work, analytical approach, judgment, and documentation standards
• Help allocate work, monitor progress against deadlines, and support prioritization across multiple assignments
• Collaborate with Quality & Risk Management (QRM) and engagement teams to strengthen processes and improve reporting effectiveness
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency through analysis of operational and performance data
• Contribute to continuous improvement of methodologies, templates, governance routines, and analytics capabilities

The team
The Assurance Nonattest Quality & Risk Management team supports the Audit & Assurance business by monitoring quality, identifying risk indicators, and helping teams operate within established policies and processes. The team works closely with Quality & Risk Management and engagement stakeholders to provide reporting, issue tracking, and insights that strengthen execution quality and support continuous improvement across nonattest engagements.

Qualifications & Expectations
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in engagement operations, project management, quality monitoring, compliance, reporting, or data analytics
• Experience reviewing work, coaching junior team members, and supporting team delivery quality
• Experience creating leadership-level reporting, analyses, and presentations using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience with dashboard development, data modeling/analytics, and report creation. Familiarity with Tableau/Power BI is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical recommendations
• Experience in Assurance-related services, compliance, risk, quality tracking, reporting, data analytics, or related business operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate within and across cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment with minimal
supervision • Awareness of product development concepts, including ideation, testing, and release cycles. Familiarity with Agile methodology is preferred
• You should expect to co-locate with team members or other colleagues in a Deloitte office, and/or virtually, based on specific team and business expectations
