Consultant, Strategic Relationship Management | Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM)
We are looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and data-driven Senior Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative and hybrid work environment. This role sits within the USI EPM Audit & Assurance team and focuses on guiding account teams and business leaders through cross-functional strategic decisions that strengthen the firm’s position in an increasingly interconnected marketplace operating in a complex regulatory landscape.
The team’s objective is to maximize value for the firm while supporting world-class businesses by informing and shaping how the firm can best serve clients in a continually evolving market. The ideal candidate will bring experience in market research and benchmarking, data analytics, database management, and reporting metrics, along with a strong understanding of professional services firms.
Work you’ll do
In this role, you will play a key role within the EPM Audit & Assurance team, partnering closely with the USI Executive Manager and US stakeholders on various data analysis, project management and reporting projects, while also supporting the broader EPM team in identifying and managing cross-business matters that impact Deloitte’s multi-disciplinary model of operating three world-class businesses under one ‘Deloitte’ brand.
This role is suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage a diverse set of responsibilities with diligence and initiative. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, adaptable to ambiguity, and responsive to feedback, with the ability to quickly refine approaches and develop practical solutions. You will leverage strong secondary research capabilities to identify trends, flag exceptions, and surface potential risks, while effectively managing multiple priorities. Success in this role requires the ability to work both collaboratively within the team and independently based on the specific needs of the project.
You’ll be expected to
• Develop a strong understanding of firm systems and leverage data to conduct due diligence on potential cross-business conflicts.
• Build proficiency in team-specific tools and databases, applying them effectively across workstreams.
• Gather and analyze data to support EPM A&A initiatives, particularly in identifying potential MDM situations and mitigating future risks.
• Synthesize research insights and data trends into clear, structured narratives, demonstrating strong storytelling and logical flow.
• Support both recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements for leadership.
• Develop a strong understanding of Independence rules applicable to professional services firms and apply this knowledge to effectively support EPM activities and deliverables.
• Proactively identify system issues or bugs and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute innovative ideas and leverage best practices to enhance team efficiency and outcomes.
The Team
EPM’s mission is to guide the account teams and businesses through cross-business strategic decisions to optimize the firm’s position as the firm serves the clients in today’s increasingly interconnected marketplace and complex regulatory environment. The ultimate objective is to maximize value for the firm while maintaining world-class businesses by informing and shaping how the firm can best serve the clients in the evolving marketplace. EPM operates firmwide to prevent voids that block opportunities for growth. There are short-term aspects (e.g., optimizing day-to-day opportunities), and there are long-term aspects (e.g., harmonizing our business strategies and modifying our business investments to factor in the regulatory landscape). Ultimately, EPM enhances the ability to operate more effectively as one integrated firm.
