Research and Insights: Strategy and Operation – Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager – Research & Insights (R&I) Strategy & Operations role plays a critical execution and enablement role across strategy, operations, analytics, and delivery within Research & Insights. The Strategy & Operations (S&O) team operates across four core pillars—R&I Transformation & Strategy, Business Intelligence & Impact, Deployment & Activation, and Delivery Excellence—and this role sits at the intersection of these pillars, with primary ownership in Transformation and Delivery Excellence and active engagement across the others.

The role is accountable for driving effective execution of R&I priorities by translating strategy into clear plans, owning reporting and progress tracking, strengthening delivery discipline, and enabling teams with the right insights, tools, and operating processes. The Assistant Manager is expected to demonstrate endtoend ownership and accountability for outcomes, working independently with sound judgment while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable, sustainable results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Execution & Transformation Support

·       Support execution of strategic initiatives by managing workstreams, tracking progress, and coordinating deliverables across multiple teams.

·       Translate leadership priorities into clear action plans, operational roadmaps, and tracking mechanisms.

·       Drive alignment across teams by highlighting dependencies, risks, and delivery gaps.

·       Develop and manage KPIs to track progress, adoption, and impact of initiatives.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

·       Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and operational processes.

·       Design and implement automation using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, or similar tools.

·       Recommend new tools and data approaches to improve quality and turnaround time.

·       Standardize templates and delivery approaches to enable scalability.

·       Support change management related to new processes, tools, and ways of working.

Operations, Delivery & Process Excellence

·       Own assigned initiatives and projects endtoend, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.

·       Define success measures and manage ongoing operational and KPI reporting cycles.

·       Drive delivery rigor by tracking milestones, actions, and outcomes.

·       Maintain and improve operational systems, trackers, SharePoint sites, and documentation.

·       Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and scalability.

Reporting, Analytics & Insight Generation

·       Own recurring and adhoc leadership reports across performance, pipeline, deployment, impact, and budget.

·       Analyze multisource datasets and generate actionable insights aligned to business priorities.

·       Develop executiveready dashboards, storyboards, and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools.

·       Support narrative development for leadership reviews and decisionmaking forums.

·       Stakeholder & Execution Management

·       Act as a trusted execution partner to senior stakeholders.

·       Collaborate with Finance, Talent, Technology, and Marketing to manage dependencies and processes.

·       Communicate progress clearly, manage expectations, and proactively flag risks.

·       Support preparation of leadershiplevel materials and reviews.

Key Skills

Technical & Analytical Skills

·       Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

·       Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools

·       Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

·       Exposure to automation tools such as Power Query or Power Automate

Professional Skills

·       Strong project management and execution capability

·       Executiveready communication and storytelling

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment

·       High attention to quality and detail

Qualifications

·       Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent preferred)

·       5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, analytics, reporting, or program management

·       Experience supporting senior stakeholders in a large matrixed organization

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
