What you’ll do

In this role, you will help research teams apply data, analytics, and AI more effectively across sectors and sub-sectors. You will work closely with research leaders, sector and sub-sector specialists, and data science partners to improve analytical quality and rigor, accelerate time-to-insight, and build Center-specific digital assets and platforms to facilitate last mile delivery.

You will not only advance analytics rigor and adoption—you will lead defined workstreams, deliver research outputs, improve core research workflows, and help shape the evolution of analytics capabilities within the center over time.

Key responsibilities

1) Own analytics enablement for the aligned research center

  • Support the aligned research center’s priorities by improving data quality, analytical methods, and rigor in research outputs.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to help validate trends, size issues, and strengthen evidence-based insights.
  • Develop practical analytical approaches, reusable methods, and supporting tools that make research more consistent and efficient.
  • Partner with sector and sub-sector specialists to apply analytics and AI in support of thought leadership, internal strategy discussions, and client-facing opportunities.
  • Deliver high-quality analytical outputs such as dashboards, analytical summaries, briefs, sensing output, and other decision-support materials.

2) Lead practical adoption of analytics and AI in research workflow

  • Lead adoption of approved analytics and AI tools within research workflows, including use-case selection, pilot execution, workflow integration, and rollout support.
  • Help tailor and operationalize firm tools, platforms, and analytics capabilities within research workflows.
  • Support research experiments and prototypes that test high-value use cases and identify practical paths to adoption.
  • Support responsible use of analytics and AI by embedding strong practices around documentation, governance, privacy, and quality review.

3) Build reusable assets and strengthen analytics capability

  • Establish and track a baseline of analytics capability for the aligned center, identify priority improvement areas, and drive measurable progress over time.
  • Build reusable templates, methods, prototypes, data products, and analytical assets that can be adopted across multiple teams and use cases.
  • Help standardize high-value workflows, analytical approaches, and evidence practices to reduce rework and improve scalability.
  • Contribute to cross-center ABA initiatives by sharing methods, lessons learned, and proven assets that can be adapted across centers.

4) Serve as the Center’s primary analytics connector

  • Serve as the Center’s primary analytics lead with the central data science team, representing center priorities, shaping requirements, and helping sequence work effectively.
  • Coordinate across research leaders within the Center, research analysts on the Center team, innovation partners across R&I, and ABA peers (across R&I centers) to align priorities, reduce duplication, and improve execution.
  • Escalate issues or tradeoffs when needed, while maintaining momentum on center priorities and agreed delivery plans.
  • Contribute actively to the ABA community across centers and help strengthen common standards, collaboration, and capability building.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, business research, insight generation, business intelligence, or related work.
