PowerBI Analyst

Work you’ll do
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements for data reporting and analysis.
- Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards.
- Connect to various data sources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence.
- Develop and manage data models, including creating relationships between data sources.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance.
- Implement best practices in data visualization and report development.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Document processes, models, designs, and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a quantitative field or equivalent professional
- experience.
- 3+ years of development experience with technical knowledge of reporting technologies and approaches,
- data integration, and KPI development, using industry standard tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
- Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements and working directly with users to produce assets that meet their expectations.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of data warehouses and ETL techniques
- Knowledge of data modeling technique
- Ability to QA and troubleshoot.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
- Certification in Microsoft Power BI.
