Infrastructure and Sustainability Insights Specialist – Senior Analyst – CoRe Research & Insights – Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

Work You’ll Do
· Provide strategic insights to Deloitte senior leadership on Infrastructure and Sustainability market and client priorities, including growth strategies, competition, innovation, industry disruptions, alliances, and ecosystems.
· Learn and apply established research tools and methodologies to deliver consultative research solutions.
· Synthesize disparate information by identifying patterns and structuring it into a compelling narrative.
· Contribute to brainstorming sessions by applying a holistic understanding of project requirements and Deloitte capabilities to propose effective solutions.
· Liaise with global colleagues to align on project expectations.
· Manage project delivery by applying strong project and time management practices and adhering to quality guidelines.
· Contribute to team activities and mentor new team members.
Core Skills:
Industry Knowledge
Knowledge of the infrastructure sector (e.g., smart cities, transportation, social infrastructure, energy infrastructure, funding models, digital technology, sustainability) is preferred, including:
· Key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the infrastructure sector.
· Understanding of the demand, supply, and economic factors that drive KPIs.
· Awareness of global infrastructure funding models and sector trends, issues, and challenges.
· Ability to conduct impact assessments and infrastructure-related economic assessments.
Secondary research
Ability to efficiently source infrastructure-related information (e.g., government and private-sector spending, capital and ownership structures, ecosystem players) from credible sources, including:
· Strong knowledge of databases, public information sources, and infrastructure domain concepts.
· Ability to validate and triangulate sources for relevance and accuracy.
· Ability to develop new products, services, or solutions to deliver insights to new and existing stakeholders.
Insight generation
Ability to provide actionable insights to practitioners, including:
· Understanding of strategic and forecasting models and frameworks, and the ability to apply them as relevant.
· Strong critical thinking to look beyond the obvious and develop hypotheses.
· Ability to generate forward-looking insights using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
· Experience translating insights into clear visuals and well-structured stories.
Qualifications
· Postgraduate degree from a premier business school with 4–6 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in Infrastructure and Sustainability-focused research.
· Master’s degree in economics, public policy, or civil engineering is a value-add.
· Strong attention to detail and end-to-end ownership of work.
· Ability to lead consultative discussions with stakeholders and propose solutions.
· Comfortable with ambiguity and hypothesis-driven problem solving.
· Strong business writing and communication skills; ability to distill complex information into concise narratives for executive audiences.
· Strong storyboarding and visualization skills; consistent professional email etiquette.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Familiarity with infrastructure and sustainability-related databases (e.g., World Bank, IMF, JICA, OECD; Inframation; Verdantix).
· Exposure to GenAI tools; prompt engineering experience is an advantage.
· Client service exposure, or experience working directly with senior leadership, is preferred.
