Work you will do
The Business Valuation team performs valuation of business entities, intellectual property, common and preferred stock, partnership interests, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative instruments. As a professional in this team, you will aid clients with mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; tax planning, and compliance; financial reporting; litigation and dispute resolution; and strategic planning; and portfolio valuations and addressing shareholder value optimization.
You would have an opportunity to gain experience in:
• Provide financial consulting services relating to business valuation. Assist in the valuation of intangible assets for regulatory, financial, and tax purposes as a result of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or financial restructuring.
• Create/assist in creating financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry research, and writing reports.
• Deliver high-quality valuation work products and assist other team members in Deloitte India (Offices of the US), when required.
• Interact with clients, internal stakeholders and US counterparts.
• Assist on client development and practice development assignments.
• Supervise work of junior staff to ensure high quality of work products.
• May need to work on other Deloitte advise engagements.
The Team
Our Business Valuation team provides a focused set of valuation consulting services to clients across a range of industry segments. Specific areas of focus include business and intangible asset valuation. Our wholly owned subsidiary at India employs professionals who work closely with our US professionals to respond quickly and efficiently to the complex and diverse needs of our clients. We perform valuations of business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock, and other securities along with partnership interests. These services are provided to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting in accordance with ‘US GAAP’ or ‘IFRS’ accounting standards; and strategic planning.
Qualifications Required:
• MBA (specialization – Finance)
• 0-36 months of previous, full time work experience
Preferred:
• CFA Level II cleared or appeared.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
• Business mindset to understand the rationale behind the transactions
• Ability and willingness to dive deeper into industry issues and bring greater insights for our clients
• Knowledge of accounting standards and financial management concepts • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
