Job Title—Lead Solution Advisor/Senior Solution Advisor in Controllership Services—Deloitte Advisory, Deloitte & Touche LLP
Deloitte & Touche’s Controllership market offering helps CFOs, CCOs, controllers, and business unit finance leaders reduce financial reporting risk resulting from changes in statutory reporting requirements, market volatility, and corporate actions or events; increase the financial integrity and transparency of cost allocations; enhance the efficiency of the “last mile of finance;” transform the finance function; and enhance the value that finance delivers to their business.
Work you will do
As part of the team, the Lead/Senior Solution Advisor provides consulting services by working with Deloitte teams on a wide variety of corporations, including multinational companies across all industry segments, including financial services, energy, manufacturing, and health sciences. You will analyze, manipulate, and manage data to deliver meaningful insights necessary to help companies of all sizes and across multiple industries address regulatory and business challenges. Sample consultant responsibilities may include:
• Querying and analyzing small and large data sets to discover patterns and deliver meaningful insights
• Creating, managing, and utilizing structured and unstructured data stores
• Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services
• Understand current state of finance allocations, identify the cost drivers and determine how cost and profit allocations are being done across different business units and product lines,
• Identify gaps in current state, rationalize and design future state for finance allocations
• Creating models for allocation of cost and profitability using tools and technologies like SAP PaPM and/or cost perform
• Leading client workshops for requirements gathering and gathering functional requirements in user stories that convey what is required to be built
• Developing system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementation
• Build workflows to automate finance processes and make them more efficient by leveraging emerging automation or machine learning tools like Alteryx
• Lead design workshops with client and the project delivery from USI and guide other professionals in the team

Deloitte Advisory’s Controllership team helps organizations reduce risk and improve reporting capabilities to meet accounting and regulatory requirements, governance in complex operating models, and support for major business events and transactions. Controllership team provides an extensive range of financial accounting and reporting services with a comprehensive industry-focused approach.
Qualifications Required:
• Demonstrated passion for innovation and use of analytics tools and technologies (e.g. SAS, SQL, VBA, QlikSense, Tableau, PowerBi, Alteryx) to solve business issues
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology/ CAs / CPAs with mandatory technology (ERP, SQL, Visualization tools) knowledge and experience
• Project experience in areas such as root cause/gap analysis/best fit, requirements gathering / definition development, financial modeling and value mapping
• Understanding of agile methodology along with experience in sprints • Ability to map the user requirements
• Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication, team building, teaming and presentation experience
• Prior experience working with and managing data sets, including extraction and merges from source systems, transformation, and providing preliminary descriptive analytics
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred skills:
• Experience with design phase of ERP transformation
• Knowledge of cost modelling and understanding of how cost allocations are done
• Alteryx Certification (Core or/and Advanced)
• Working knowledge of SAP crystal reports
• Experience of large enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, etc.)
• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
• PaPM skills
o Hands on experience in SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM)
o Ability to understand how BW/4 HANA / Native HANA Model will be aligned with PaPM Model
o Able to define various Functions in PaPM – Join, Union, Allocation as per the requirement
o Able to understand Environments, Process & functional building blocks for PaPM -Header, Input, Signature, Rules
o Usage of Model Table, Model BW, Model view, File Adapter, etc.
o Conceptual understanding of Direct /Indirect allocation
o Functional understanding on Sender, Driver, Receiver from allocation standpoint
o Understanding on data replication methods – SLT, SDA
o Able to assist with defining the data model in PaPM, support integration discussions, guide on standard capabilities in PaPM and drive design of the business rules
