Work you will do Deloitte Advisory has an opening for a Network Architect Senior Consultant. This individual's primary function is to provide network infrastructure planning and deployment expertise to project teams and client organizations in the Cyber Risk space.
Responsibilities include:
- Understands network architecture and provides guidance to project teams in design, development, and maintenance of technical network solutions and their frameworks implemented with the clients
- Provides assistance to the project teams in installation and configuration of routers, switches, cables, hubs, adaptors etc. as standalone or stack
- Plans and designs data center networks
- Understands and provides guidance to the project teams in SDN, segmentation (including VLAN segmentation and voice and data segmentation), virtualization, and network zoning design and deployment
- Performs network modelling, analysis, and planning and understands vendor development/test strategies assessments
- Provides guidance in network testing and has hands-on experience in handling network test equipment such asN2X, etc.

Qualifications and experience
Required:
- 3-5 years experience
- Bachelors / Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline including Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency and hand-on experience LAN, WAN, WLAN technologies
- Excellent knowledge of Cisco, F5 and Juniper network systems. (routers, switches, Load balancers, firewalls)
- Excellent knowledge of OSI model, dynamic routing protocols, subnetting and supernetting
- Excellent knowledge of Enterprise carrier grade network design and deployment is a must. OEM’s Cisco or Juniper
- Excellent knowledge of L2 and L3 routing, switching and internetworking protocols like OSPF, BGP etc. is a must
- Understanding of Load balancers, GTM, LTM is a plus
- SDN Concepts with VMware NSX or Cisco ACI is desirable
- Certifications like CCNP, CCIE are a plus
- Understanding of endpoint security and cloud security solutions is a plus
- Requires strong analytical and communication skills as well as sound judgment and the ability to work effectively with Infra Architects, Network Security Architects, Technology Architects and Executives
