Analytics Manager

Work you’ll do

The key job responsibilities will be to:

 

      • Design and optimize MS SQL Server database schemas, ensuring scalability and performance.
      • Implement security measures, backup, and recovery strategies.
      • Collaborate with SQL developers to design and optimize queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
      • Integrate databases into the overall system architecture.
      • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
      • Collaborate with application developers to ensure seamless integration of databases with software systems.
      • Implement best practices for database development, such as proper indexing and query optimization.
      • Utilize SQL and other analytical tools to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
      • Collaborate with data analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into effective database structures.
      • Optimize database performance to support complex analytical queries.
      • Work with data visualization tools to create insightful and actionable reports and dashboards.
      • Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand visualization requirements.
      • Ensure that database structures support the data needed for effective visualization.
      • Integrate machine learning models with databases to enhance data analytics capabilities.
      • Collaborate with data scientists to design and implement databases that support machine learning workflows.
      • Ensure the seamless flow of data between databases and machine learning models.

·       Lead, manage, and mentor a team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.

·       Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns.

·       Develop comprehensive project plans, allocate resources efficiently, and establish clear objectives and deliverables.

·       Oversee the successful execution of consulting projects, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

·       Identify and address challenges, proactively mitigate risks, and implement effective solutions during project delivery.

·       Maintain high standards of deliverable quality, conducting thorough reviews of work products to meet or exceed client expectations.

·       Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, present findings and updates, and facilitate transparent team communication.

The Team

Our Financial Technology practice develops and licenses a growing family of proprietary software products (see http://www.deloitte.com/ft) to assist financial institutions with a number of complex topics, such as accounting for credit deteriorated assets and the administration of investments in leveraged loans.

Qualifications

 

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• At least 8+ years of experience in developing and managing database & related components in MS SQL Server.  

• Strong proficiency with SQL

• Strong proficiency in data visualization

• Strong proficiency in data analytics

• Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience with Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Analysis Service

• Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases

• Capable of troubleshooting common database issues

• Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it

• Knowledge in performance optimization techniques

• Knowledge in machine learning models and integration with database

• Excellent analytical skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong technical and organization skills.
