Position Summary
Level: Consultant
As a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale hybrid cloud networking solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions
Work you’ll do:
Lead and support discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts on business architecture. Prepare technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities. Develop solutions in line with established technical designs, integration standards, and quality processes. Create and enforce technical design and development guides, templates, and standards. Contribute to daily scrum meetings, deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports for leadership review. Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams.
- Plan, architect, design, and implement hybrid network solutions across on-premises and public/private cloud environments, including deployment and migration activities.
- Produce and maintain high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) artifacts, validating requirements and translating them into implementable network topologies and configurations.
- Configure and support enterprise networking capabilities across switching/routing, segmentation, and resiliency (e.g., VLAN/ OSPF, MPLS, VRF, GRE and DMVPN etc.)
- Design and implement secure connectivity such as IPsec site-to-site tunnels and remote SSL VPN, plus core services including DNS/ DHCP
- Support software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN), software-defined data center (SDDC), and network functions virtualization (NFV) initiatives where applicable.
- Deliver hands-on build and migration work across multi-cloud platforms – Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) including connectivity, routing, and deployment readiness.
- Work with multi-vendor network and security products (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, wireless), collaborating with client teams and cross-functional stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and drive resolution.
- Create or enhance automation scripts/templates (e.g., Ansible, Python) to reduce manual effort for repeatable build, validation, and operational tasks.
- Communicate progress and risks clearly through written updates and stakeholder discussions; contribute to quality reviews and timely delivery of assigned deliverables.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Strong experience delivering hybrid networking (on-prem + cloud) with design, implementation, and migration/deployment scope.
- Hands-on depth across core networking protocols and technologies (e.g., VLAN/VTP, STP, HSRP/VRRP, LAG, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF, EIGRP, GRE, DMVPN) plus secure connectivity (IPsec, SSL VPN).
- Practical experience with DNS, DHCP, and enterprise connectivity patterns, including SD-WAN, SDDC, and NFV concepts.
- Multi-vendor implementation experience across switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers (e.g., F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) / Global Traffic Manager (GTM), Citrix NetScaler), and wireless (controllers/access points).
- Cloud networking exposure across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, including the ability to support design/build/migration tasks.
- Automation familiarity (preferably Ansible, Python, and working with JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)), with an engineering mindset to standardize and scale repeatable work.
- Solid understanding of Windows and Linux/Unix fundamentals relevant to network integration and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to create high-quality HLD/LLD documentation, troubleshoot complex issues, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) / Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), AWS/ GCP/ Azure networking certifications).
