Work you’ll do
Our Tax Seniors/Managers [take the lead / support] as tax specialists on statutory audit engagements. You will use your commercial awareness and professional accounting or auditing expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and highest quality audit outcomes for our clients. You will manage key elements of a client relationship and will be expected to support Partners and Directors in developing proposals for new audit clients. You will be a confident team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, as well as beginning to build your own tax technical expertise.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing, coordinating and performing audit procedures over key income tax accounting judgments, Pillar 2 assessments, significant tax estimates, technical tax accounting conclusions, and tax disclosures using a variety of technology solutions.
- Developing and utilising a working knowledge of multiple GAAPs from a tax perspective (FRS 102, IFRS & US GAAP)
- Provide tax accounting and tax technical expertise on a wide variety of issues across a range of sectors.
- Lead the relationship with main Deloitte UK audit team, and deal with complex tax and tax accounting technical matters on audit engagements.
- Plan and scope the tax audit appropriately and line up various specialists across the firm (including overseas) to deliver the tax audits in an efficient manner.
- Be the main point of contact for the client's tax and finance team on tax reporting matters, including discussing and explaining technical queries and issues.
- Manage a diverse team of tax and tax reporting specialists, including overseas teams, to deliver complex audit of tax and tax reporting engagements with an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
- Assist with delivering training and issuance of standard documents to be used for best audit practice.
- Input into the wider Deloitte agenda on excellence in tax audit.
- Contribute to the leadership and development of the national audit of tax team.
- Assist with the preparation of tax technical bulletins.
- Signing off smaller tax audits in line with the firms polices.
Required -
· Excellent communication skills- able to explain complex ideas and techniques to non-experts.
· Track record of success and teaming.
· A background in accounting advisory or auditing services.
· Experience of delivering accounting or audit services to entities located in the UK and overseas under IFRS, FRS 101/102, or US GAAP is preferred or a willingness to learn this if not.
· A personal interest in being part of the tax function of the future and willingness to learn the skills required to manage tax accounting projects.
· Able to define, plan, manage and execute a project.
· An ability to manage multiple-work streams at the same time.
· Flexibility to be able to learn new software and techniques quickly on the job and invest time in getting up to speed with UK tax laws.
· Hold an accounting or tax qualification.
· A hunger for understanding the technical complexities associated with corporate tax accounting and an interest in staying up to date with the latest industry trends and market drivers.
· Ability to develop close working relationships with clients and targets alike and to introduce different areas of tax to them.

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST | 2 PM to 11 PM IST
