Tax Manager – UK Accounting

Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited commenced operations in June 2004. Since then, nearly all of the Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) U.S. service lines and regions have obtained support through Deloitte Tax in India. In recent years, member firms, such as Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, etc. have obtained support in their tax related practice through the Deloitte Tax in India.

Work you’ll do
Increasingly complex finance decisions can have a significant effect—positive or negative—on the future of clients’ business. Our approach combines insight and innovation from multiple disciplines with business and industry knowledge to help clients excel globally.

Key responsibilities:
• Preparation and reporting of high complexity financial statements using UK GAAP,101 and IFRS
• Preparation of Consolidated financial statements
• Work on accounting software like Onesource/BDH
• Ensure timely and qualitative production of deliverables to our clients and will therefore play a pivotal role in the organization and development of our practice.
• Extensive communication with the team regarding client status and providing feedback on client progress.
• Reviewing work prepared by the teams.
• Supporting GAAP technical discussions with client stakeholders and consulting
• Establish/ensure the optimal team structure, processes and procedures to achieve objectives in delivery of finance operate projects.
• Responsible for meeting and exceeding contractual commitments and client expectations
• Communicate metrics to relevant stakeholders to highlight issues, identify root causes, and solve in conjunction with other process owners.
• Ensure adoption of best practices and continuous improvement
• Adopt quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures in delivery of finance operate projects
• Manage people from multiple teams (and geographies) including recruitment, training, workload, coaching and development.
• Manage team in day-to-day responsibilities, issue escalations as well as career development and performance feedback processes.
• Successfully business partner with clients across multiple locations and time zones
• Focus on automation and provide input to streamline processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Take an active role as a business leader within the team and support the overall objectives of the business

The Team
UK specialist team in Hyderabad supporting Deloitte UK member firm specializes in three core areas: preparation and electronic tagging and review of UK statutory financial statements, Management accounts, Bookkeeping and governance and other support work for global tax outsourcing projects.

Qualifications Essentials:
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent
• Experience in a Professional Services environment
• Experience of delivering financial reporting services to entities located in the UK and overseas under IFRS, FRS 101/102 or US GAAP
• Experience in a management role that includes exposure to finance, accounting, billing, treasury, internal controls, process improvement and project management
• Proven competency to lead successful teams in a hybrid work environment
• Experience with change management
• Willingness to learn new automation tools and have updated knowledge of upcoming technology and industry trends
• Solid and effective working knowledge of SLA and KPIs reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines for deliverables and presentation of results
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required for presentations and reporting

Desirable:
• Workiva WDESK, Thomsen Reuters finance compliance tools, MS Navision, SAP, Oracle experience
• Global multinational experience

Work Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST | 2 PM to 11 PM IST
