Tax Consultant II – Property Tax

We are looking for a sharp, analytical Multistate Tax Senior Consultant who is ready to take on new challenges and join one of the largest Multistate Tax practices in the United States.
Work you’ll do
As a Tax Consultant II within the Multistate Tax Services group, you will be a valuable member on property tax engagements and provide state tax compliance services to a diverse client base in various industry sectors. You will continue to grow your technical knowledge in taxation by working on large complex tax projects and have access to exceptional resources and continue to develop your supervisory and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
· Performing a detailed technical review of property tax renditions and work papers with attention to review of fixed asset lists, classification of fixed assets, application of state depreciation tables, and determination of “ghost assets”
· Review of tax assessments and property tax bills
· Coordinating with an in-house tax preparation team within Deloitte and with the clients’ tax department.
· Assisting with engagement workflow management and supervising tax consultants on assigned engagements.
The Team
Multistate State is a rapidly expanding service offering at Deloitte. The offering is built on a scale that includes a highly leveraged and nationally managed compliance center in our U.S. India (USI) offices, with the project oversight management based in the U.S. offices, primarily Chicago. Deloitte is currently in the process of aggressively increasing its market share in this service offering.
Required
· 2-4 years’ experience in state property tax compliance
· Preparation and review experience of state property tax renditions
· Master’s Degree in commerce
· Excellent research and writing skills
· Excellent presentation and communications skills
· Supervisory experience
· Previous Big 4 experience Preferred.
· A preparer tax identification number (PTIN) is required for tax returns. If you do not have a PTIN or if your PTIN is expired, you are requested to complete the new or renewal application process (as applicable ) before joining Deloitte
Work Location: Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Bengaluru
Shift Time – 11am – 8pm IST
