Instructional Designer – Assistant Manager

Work you’ll do
- As an instructional designer– AM, you will:
- Analyze instructional design project requirements and work with the project manager around scope and solution
- Support instructional design needs across all Deloitte US firms
- Design and develop learning deliverables in line with project scope, using common tools and templates
- Provide regular updates to the project manager
- Escalate any issues affecting timeliness or scope of instructional design/development project
- Develop training materials associated with the project, such as instructor guides, participant guides, hands-on activities, handouts, diagrams and pictures, job aids, and self-study materials
- Collaborate with subject matter experts
- Create storyboards and design specifications to be used as blueprint instructions for content development
The team
The LDS team in India focuses on designing and implementing organizational learning to enhance our own workforce’s capabilities and improve their clients’ outcomes. The LDS team is involved in designing and developing learning solutions to meet our clients’ business and learning needs, keeping the next generation workforce in the center. The team works on video-based, game-based, traditional e-learning, ILTs, VILTs, and experimental learning.
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate in any stream
- Proficient with MS Office (MS Word and MS PowerPoint)
- 6-9 years of experience in developing different training product types, such as application simulations, ILTs/VILTs, WBTs, job aids, and QRCs
- Demonstrate excellent communication and project management skills
- Adept at visualizing the content and collaborating with the graphic designers and technical team members and also advanced attention to detail to develop the end product within the given timelines

- Desire to take on tough and challenging projects
- Willingness to proactively investigate and mitigate risks and coordinate with team members and others to resolve and escalate issues as necessary
- Knowledge of courseware development tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, etc.
- Strong communication skills and manage communication across levels
- Ability to gather learning needs and project specifications
- A flexible work style and ability to work beyond the normal schedule during peak periods
- Ability to work effectively, with minimal day-to-day supervision, and within a team environment to significantly contribute to the success of the team
