Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited (“Deloitte Tax in India”) commenced operations in June 2004. Since then, nearly all of the Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) U.S. service lines and regions have obtained support services through Deloitte Tax in India.

Job purpose:
We are looking for an individual with solid quantitative, qualitative and critical thinking skills with the ability to learn new concepts quickly. This position reports to the Calculation Engine Program manager and interacts with multiple stakeholders within the firm. The candidate should also possess strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, good time management skills and the ability to execute/deliver deliverables on time in a dynamic team environment. The candidate will receive training on any proprietary applications and processes needed to perform their job. This is an entry level position which will provide exposure to a wide variety of areas related to the software development lifecycle from gathering business requirements to release testing, as well as various stakeholder interactions through support cases and other administrative tasks. This position supports the transformation of our GlobalAdvantage Deloitte proprietary applications which allow multinationals to address the complex compensation and taxation issues for a globally mobile employee population. Working some weekends and overtime may be required and is expected.
Key job responsibilities:
· Software Lifecycle:
v Analysis - Learn to analyze and document existing system processes in order to develop business and functional requirements
v Programming - Develop C# and SQL skills to support tax logic engines and updates to queries
v Testing - Learn to develop detailed test plans based on the business requirements; help review functional testing as well regression testing
· Microservices Support:
v Learn to analyze issues to determine specific steps to recreate
v Report and track issues to ensure fixes are turned around in an appropriate timeframe
v Assist in researching and answering common client/product owner questions regarding the tax engines and logic, as well as how to setup and provide access to the applicable services
· General:
v Coordinate with senior staff members to resolve issues
v Participate in other areas of the project as directed by GES Technology management
v Learn the appropriate global compensation as well as individual tax-specific concepts and GES business processes around these
Education/Background:
University graduate with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related subject and/ or equivalent knowledge and expertise achieved through work experience
Work experience: 1 - 2 years
Key skills desired
Technical Skills Desired:
· Familiar with software development lifecycle (SDLC)
· Exposure to requirements elicitation and software testing as a part of SDLC
· Basic understanding of programming concepts.
· Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Knowledge of the following is a plus but not mandatory:
· Understanding of excel macros
· Programming knowledge of C# (or similar), JSON, XML, SQL
· Familiarity with relational database concepts
· Understanding of individual taxation and/or global compensation concepts and terminology
Personal Skills Desired:
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills
· Aptitude to be vocal and proactive. MUST be self-driven.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, including fluency in English
· Ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds and as part of a virtual team
· Very organized, yet flexible enough to change focus pursuant to business demands
· The ability to handle multiple assignments with overlapping deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
· Focus on self-review and providing high quality deliverables
