Performance Engineer (Analyst / Sr.Analyst)
Main role of Performance Engineer is to gather performance requirements, Scripting, Preparing test data, and Executing & Analyzing business processes of applications. Additional responsibilities includes single user analysis and root cause analysis with respect to performance via OpenText LoadRunner Suite (VUGen, PC/LRE, & Site Scope), VSTS and other related suite of products.
Work you’ll do
As a “Performance Engineer”, you will be expected to be a highly analytical, collaborative engineer who must be capable of selecting the proper performance evaluation techniques and tools, conduct appropriate test methodologies, interpret and report system performance test results against pre-established performance metrics.
Essential job functions:
- Gather non-functional requirements needed for performance engineering.
- Provide estimates and prepare plan and test strategy.
- Identify and update PE tasks in VSTS, MPP, MTM or any other tracking tool used on the projects.
- Scripting performance test business processes via LoadRunner, with expertise in TruClient and web (http/html) protocols.
- Setup and execution of performance scenario via MF LRE.
- Documentation of performance transaction definitions from scripts, scenario load matrix profile (spreadsheet) and test execution results output.
- Single user analysis for all the critical user actions using Fiddler/HTTP watch.
- Performing root cause analysis for performance violations.
- Preparation of performance test analysis and creation of presentation templates.
- Communicate issues to management, client and support groups as needed regarding finds from testing activities and support issues.
- Work closely with project team towards successful test phases.
- Attending regular project calls and updating performance status to the project team.
- Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
- Responsible for successful execution and alerting team leads and managers of obstacles, issues and risks.
- Responsible for coordinating/engaging build movements to the Load environment as directed by Team Lead

We help define, design, develop and test business scenarios that are as close as possible to an actual day in the life of the application in production
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 to 6 years of performance testing experience using MF LR Suite (Script generation, Execution, Analysis and Reporting)
- Skill set: LR Suite (VUGen, PC/LRE, & Site Scope) and VSTS
- Possess in-depth knowledge of multiple performance tools (Load Runner / VSTS etc.), frameworks and infrastructure.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in working over azure cloud platform.
- Must possess intermediate or advanced proficiency in SQL acting as enabler for data volume creation and other tasks across the PE lifecycle.
- Possess knowledge in leveraging various azure services/ utilities like application insights, .net profiler trace, network trace for diagnosing the performance issues (RCA).
Preferred:
· Experienced in working on Agile/Scrum methodology.
· Certification in Microsoft Certified Administrator Associate.
· Client facing and exposure to onshore offshore delivery model.
· Experience in working in a global environment involving multiple development sites on various time zones.
