Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited commenced operations in June 2004. Since then, nearly all of the Deloitte Tax LLP (“Deloitte Tax”) U.S. service lines have obtained support through Deloitte Tax in India. U.S. India Tax — CTO

Deloitte Tax LLP’s Chief Technology Office (CTO) team is responsible for the design, development and deployment of tax tools for the US Tax Practice.  The professionals on the STAC team are focused on assisting Deloitte Tax in its efforts to deliver quality, comprehensive, value-added, and efficient client services using tax tools to our clients.  The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving tax technology management, tool development and implementation. 

Work you’ll do

Oversee project goals, scrum, create and deliver reports, analyze data from project execution, and any other duties determined by project managers. You will oversee development of Applications developed using technologies such as ASP.Net MVC, Angular, HMTL5 and bootstrap. Your objective is to ensure that all deliverables meet standards and business requirements. You are knowledgeable in Agile methodology and scrum and able to educate others. You will act as a buffer between the scrum team and product owner and maintain a safe working environment for the team by organizing development priorities and by resolving conflicts. It is a unique opportunity to be a part of growing USI Tax Transformation team that drives consistency, quality, and efficiency through priority applications in the marketplace. You will demonstrate a good understanding and working knowledge of business and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee variable aspects of projects and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution
  • Lead the scrum team using Agile methodology and drive scrum practices
  • Review project goals and ensure project goals and timeline is achievable
  • Support product owner and development team in achieving customer satisfaction
  • Overcome impediments and coach scrum team on overcoming hurdles
  • Liaise with project leads and maintain project schedule and efficacy
  • Lead development team activities using Agile framework
  • Drive higher levels of scrum maturity and expedite development
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive higher levels of efficiency
  • Provide support to product owners, project owners, stakeholders as necessary
  • Review project implementation and gather data on project execution
  • Coordinate with project managers and project leads following project execution
  • During design and key development phases, might need to work a staggered shift from 2pm-11pm to ensure appropriate overlap of the India and US teams and project deliveries.
