DEPUTY MANAGER – Enterprise Portfolio Management
We are looking for candidates for our Enterprise portfolio management team who can work with the broader team on targeted research, data analysis, reporting, planning, and operations by leveraging strong market research, analysis, and presentation skills.
Someone with experience in SEC independence-related matters, market research with solid database expertise (CapIQ, hoovers, Factiva, etc.), analytics and visualization, building relationships, sharing new ideas, working in teams, mentoring, and coaching, providing support to the leadership team, and can quickly adapt to the changing business requirements.
Key skills and professional experience:
- 9+ years of work experience, including at least six years in market research/analysis/ handling SEC independence issues and leading teams; at least 3-5 five years of experience in appraising team members, coaching and mentoring experience.
- Work closely with EPM Managing Directors, senior Managers, and cross-functional teams on matters associated with the Conflict Checks and the other EPM deliverables.
- Lead and supervise a minimum team of 4-6 professionals, provide training on firm policies and internal processes, perform the final layer of the USI review for mailbox-related matters and other EPM initiatives.
- Communicate with business stakeholders to scope and assess the requests and deliver recommendations that meet business goals and seek consultation from leadership as needed
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of financial transactions such as joint ventures, M&A, spinoffs, and other related concepts, with experience of working in professional services organizations to design and develop processes for the team.
- Strong secondary research skills with expertise in databases like Factiva, OneSource, Hoovers, Thomson, BoardEx etc. with good exposure to data visualization skills and the ability to present data analysis in intuitive graphical and tabular formats. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau will be an advantage
- Strong reviewing skills and attention to detail. Tracking quality metrics and supporting the management to make effective decisions from the metrics; Ability to drive consensus and support efforts across disparate groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Strong client & project management skills with proven experience in providing counsel to senior executives
- Recruit new hires, oversee onboarding, conduct performance evaluations and share constructive feedback with the team
Work you’ll do
As a Deputy Manager in the Enterprise Portfolio Management team, you will lead the research and analysis on business-specific issues and assist in the preparation of reports/updates for senior leaders. Also, you would support the USI/broader team in monitoring/handling the independence issues, joint venture and spinouts through strong secondary research and manage the conflict checks and flag issues that will impair solutions. The Deputy manager is also responsible for quality control and driving enhancements in other team members’ deliverables by reviewing their drafts and providing appropriate coaching and feedback. The role also includes counseling responsibilities for EPM analysts/senior analysts and assisting the USI team leader in managing the team’s workflow and operations.
Key job responsibilities include:
Intake/Pro-active Monitoring Support:
- Lead complete necessary research/analysis to enable identification/monitoring/tracking of potential MDM challenges
- Manage and analyze substantial stockholder conflict check data; track, analyze, and report EPM and COE activities to identify trends/issues.
- Ideate and execute processes that will enable visibility and periodic monitoring of our footprint across complex portfolios
- Track and provide a standard response to email inquiries; Conduct due diligence and escalate acute/complex cases for triage
- Support monitoring of substantial stockholders and flag ACP R and Alliance Partner investors
- Oversee and support the co-ownership scenarios involving clients and operate/B2B2B engagements
- Establish best practices and common tools/resources that can be leveraged across COEs for seamless support
- Guide the team in the day-day activities of monitoring and managing the deliverables

Qualifications
Required:
- MBA/CA/CFA or an equivalent master’s degree
Location: Hyderabad
Work Timing: 11 am to 8 pm IST (with some level of flexibility on two days every week)
